Another busy week.
Health Minister Mike Nesbitt asked to meet with us to hear all about the great work we do.
We took the opportunity to speak with him about various issues and especially patient travel when our Bravehearts and families need to travel to GB for surgeries and transplants.
One size fits all doesn’t work for the complexity of our Bravehearts and their needs.

He has taken away a lot to consider.
There is nothing more impactful than real human stories.
Thank you to our Braveheart Daniella Termonia for joining us.
Her story and journey is astonishing and the Minister was clearly very moved.

Our Braveheart Daniella spent the day at AIB branch in Ballymena.
We were invited to chat with staff and customers about the work of BraveheartsNI.

We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and the funding support we have received this past year.
It always gives us a lift when funders take time to support us on a personal level and not only providing much needed money.
They recognise the incredible work our volunteers provide to our community.
Thank you AIB.

Well. As usual I’m late to post!
Last week we dropped off goodies to all our nurses in recognition of International Nurse’s Day.
We are so grateful for your support, kindness and commitment to everyone’s care.
Thank you. We will always stand in support beside you.

There were 2 special deliveries.
1. To Children’s Clark Clinic. A whole load of desperately needed toys and toothbrushes.
2. A stunning cake to 5B thanking the staff for looking after our Braveheart .

A huge thank you to Jane Thompson for the delicious baking.
She always produces the goods.

Our shout out today is to The Kings.
Thomas and his buddy Alex Weir ran the lot! The whole thing! .
Pictured with Lucy and Olivia.

Simply brilliant.
We are so grateful for The King’s continuing support of BraveheartsNI.
They know only too well how much support our Braveheart families need during life altering changes.

Tonight’s shout out goes to The Gray family and friends.

Everyone ran in memory of their brother, cousin, nephew, friend and our Braveheart Gerard who sadly passed away last year age 22.

A huge amount of runners, many of who were running for the first time.
I had the privilege of meeting some of you and look forward for the meet up with others soon.

Congratulations everyone and thank you.
I’m sure Gerard was having a laugh watching you all run around the city and incredibly proud that you choose to come together to accomplish an incredible feat in his name in such numbers.

Watch this space for their final total.
