Do you have a child who's unwell and are wondering if they should be in nursery or school?

Symptoms and severity of illness will vary from person to person. If your child is unwell and you have concerns about their symptoms you should speak to your GP.

📣 Important service update

Please note that the X-Ray service in Banbridge Health Centre will be open Tuesday 18th August and Wednesday 19th August this week. Opening hours next week are Mon 24th August, Tues 25th August and Thursday 27th August. The department will be open each day 9am to 4.30pm with a lunch closure from 1pm to 1.45pm on all days.

The X-Ray facility in Portadown Health Centre will be open Wednesday 19th August and Friday 21st August 9am to 5pm. Next week, the service is open Monday 24th – Wednesday 26th August 9am to 5pm and Thursday 27th August 9am to 1pm.

📣 Meningitis B Vaccine

Following recent outbreaks of Meningitis B, a targeted vaccination programme is being offered across the UK to help protect young people.

WHO Is ELIGIBLE?
⚪️All of those with a Date of birth between 2nd July 2007 - 1st July 2008
⚪️under 25s who are starting Higher Education for the first time in the UK/Ireland in Autumn 26
⚪️ Under 25s starting residential further education for the first time in Autumn 26

After more than 30 years of dedicated service at Banbridge Group Surgery, next Wednesday 8th July, marks Dr Auld’s final day before she begins her well-earned retirement.

Throughout her time with the practice, Dr Auld has been a knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated GP, providing outstanding care and support to generations of patients. She has also been a valued colleague and friend, and her kindness, professionalism and commitment will be greatly missed by everyone at BGS.

We know that many of our patients will join us in thanking Dr Auld for her years of service and wishing her every happiness as she begins this exciting new chapter.
