Sean went on a 6 week holiday in January.

He came back heavierโ€ฆand I couldnโ€™t be happier for him.

Hereโ€™s why ๐Ÿ‘‡

Sean joined up back in July.

Heโ€™s a dad who runs his own business.
Busy as hell and time is not in great supply.

But he made a decision that enough was enough.

So we built a plan around his actual life and he got to work.

Every single month he got leaner.

Every single month that built more momentum.

Nearly 4 stone gone in 7 months.

Then January came around with a 6 week holiday of a lifetime.

So he went away and had an amazing timeโ€ฆ
No tracking, no avoiding foods/beers etc

Just fully present and enjoying every single moment.

Did he come back heavier? Yeah.

Could he have been strict and maintained?

Maybe, but why would you do that on a trip like that?

Hereโ€™s what most people donโ€™t understandโ€ฆ

The goal was never just to lose weight.

The goal was to become someone who knows exactly how to lose it, keep it off, and still fully live their life.

Thatโ€™s a completely different thing.

Sean came back, flipped the switch.

And right now? Heโ€™s looking better than ever.

Thatโ€™s what an identity shift looks like.

Not white-knuckling it through every situation or holiday that comes your way.

Knowing you can go and fully liveโ€ฆand come back and get straight back to it.

Well done Sean, what an absolute legend ๐Ÿ‘

Want a result that lasts past the Summer holidays?

Message me SUMMER and Iโ€™ll send you the details ๐Ÿ™Œ

โฃ
Nobody has to this alone. โฃ
โฃ
Next up for me after the Morayway Coastal 50 is the Ultra Relay with Team Infinite. โฃ
โฃ
Itโ€™s a team event, we have 4 teams of 4 legends racing. โฃ
โฃ
102 miles spread out over 12 different runs. โฃ
โฃ
You run your leg, hand over the gps track, recover, cheer abdy else on and go againโ€ฆโฃ
โฃ
Buzzing for it! โฃ
โฃ
Itโ€™s by far my favourite event of the entire year. โฃ
โฃ
It got me thinking about what makes training alongside other people so different to going it aloneโ€ฆโฃ
โฃ
When Iโ€™m on my own, itโ€™s easy to half arse it or cut a session short. โฃ
โฃ
Nobodyโ€™s watching, nobody would knowโ€ฆโฃ
โฃ
But when you are part of a team, youโ€™re not just letting yourself downโ€ฆyou have team mates to consider. โฃ
โฃ
You show up because someone else is counting on you. โฃ
โฃ
You push a bit harder because someone next to you is pushing hard. โฃ
โฃ
You donโ€™t let yourself off the hook because you know theyโ€™re not letting themselves off either. โฃ
โฃ
That's what the team sessions at Infinite HQ have felt like these last few weeks.โฃ
โฃ
People training alongside each other, pushing each other, showing up for each other.โฃ
โฃ
There's something that happens in that environment that you just can't replicate on your own.โฃ
โฃ
I genuinely believe it's one of the biggest reasons people get results with us.โฃ
โฃ
Not just the plan but the people around them while they're doing it.

They said they'd been on it all week, training done, food decent, but they just didn't feel any different yet.โฃ

โฃ
๐—ช๐ž๐ž๐ค ๐Ÿ >> energy started picking up. Getting through the afternoons without feeling like needing a nap. โฃ

โฃ
That was the moment.โฃ
โฃ
Not a dramatic transformation or some mad before and after.โฃ
โฃ
Just a real person who kept showing up for 4 weeks and started finding out what was on the other side of consistency.โฃ
โฃ
That first week is the hardestโ€ฆjust getting bloody started. โฃ
โฃ
Nothing has changed yetโ€ฆyou're doing the work but you can't see it.โฃ
โฃ
This is where most people stop.โฃ
โฃ
The ones who get results are the ones who just keep going past that point.โฃ
โฃ
Week 1: nothing feels different.โฃ
Week 2: energy shifts.โฃ
Week 3: you start seeing/feeling it.โฃ
Week 4: other people start noticing.โฃ
โฃ
Trust the process. ๐Ÿ‘Š

โฃ
Runs are starting to feel much better again and got no niggles at all now from the Ultra. โฃ
โฃ
Strength is coming back as well in the gym and reallying enjoying workouts. โฃ

Nutrition has been good, iโ€™ve been sitting at around maintenance. โฃ
โฃ
Will be pushing into a slight surplus over the next few months to build muscle/strength. โฃ
โฃ
Probably around 2700 calories per day on average and nearer 3200-3500 on some of my longer run days. โฃ
โฃ
Havenโ€™t focused on building muscle in quite some time. โฃ
โฃ
Not going to go mad and get super heavy >> would like to be maybe 3-4kg heavier at the same level of body fat.โฃ
โฃ
To look better physique wise but also be a lot stronger for Hyrox with that sub 60 goal at the end of the year.โฃ
โฃ
๐‹๐ข๐Ÿ๐žโฃ
Baby is due date is approaching, was hoping Abbie would go early as Iโ€™ve a 20km zone 2 easy run next week to do. โฃ

Iโ€™m joking btwโ€ฆitโ€™s 30km. โฃ
โฃ
Will train as normal until the baby arrives and then just adaptโ€ฆdo what I can ๐Ÿคฃโฃ

A year ago, John was 5 stone heavier & telling me his knees were doneโ€ฆโฃ
โฃ
Skip forward to today >>> 5 stone Of Body Fat Gone, A Marathon Done & An Ultra Next ๐Ÿคฏโฃ
โฃ
Back then John said he wasnโ€™t a runnerโ€ฆnever had been and never would be. โฃ
โฃ
Until I challenged him to run a mileโ€ฆโฃ
โฃ
If I told him back then that heโ€™d be standing on the finish line of a Marathon a year laterโ€ฆโฃ
โฃ
Heโ€™d of told me to bu**er off! But here we are. โฃ
โฃ
5 stone of body fat gone, that alone is an incredible achievement. โฃ
โฃ
But then to go from never doing a 5km > Marathon in a yearโ€ฆinsane! (in 3 hours 40mins as well!)โฃ
โฃ
Heโ€™s now got an Ultra Marathon to tick off in August. โฃ
โฃ
The thing I keep coming back to with John isnโ€™t the numbers though. โฃ
โฃ
Itโ€™s how one goal led to another. โฃ
โฃ
First it was to lose some weight > then the 5km goal > which led to a half. โฃ
โฃ
Then all of a sudden heโ€™s messaged to say heโ€™s booked Edinburgh Marathon!! โฃ
โฃ
Thatโ€™s what happens when you trust the process and let those goals along the way compound. โฃ
โฃ
He didnโ€™t sprint to the finish line by trying to do some drastic quick fix. โฃ
โฃ
Heโ€™s built things the right way, followed the plan, trusted the process and stayed consistent. โฃ
โฃ
The old John is gone, heโ€™s not coming back. โฃ
โฃ
The new John, he gets stronger, fitter & faster every dayโ€ฆโฃ
โฃ
Heโ€™s on a journey to find out what the f***s possible! โฃ
โฃ
This post is for anyone sitting there thinking they've left it too late or that they're not built for it.โฃ
โฃ
Or that their knees are done ๐Ÿ˜‰โฃ
โฃ
Everyone starts somewhereโ€ฆ.John started exactly where you are.โฃ

I had the same cycle with food for bloody yearsโ€ฆ

Monday > Friday = Eating well, feeling goodโ€ฆon track.

Then Friday would comeโ€ฆ

One treat turned into one takeaway which led to another.

Which meant that now Iโ€™d fu**ed it, might as well go nuts and promise to start again on Monday.

Thinking that one bad meal had ruined things for me, was a bit mad.

Think about it, one good meal doesnโ€™t get you in the shape of your life.

And one bad meal doesnโ€™t get you out of shape!

Itโ€™s what you do over the long haul that counts.

My problem back then wasnโ€™t willpower or disciplineโ€ฆ

It was my all or nothing mentality that was destroying my progress.

The moment I changed that and stopped guilt tripping myself off track every bad meal I hadโ€ฆ

I started to see a lot more progress!

If I was consistent enough over the course of the weekโ€ฆone bad meal did bu**er all.

Now, I enjoy the damn take away or cookie or whatever the hell Iโ€™m having.

I just make sure Iโ€™m back on it with my next meal, no fu***ng about.

If youโ€™re stuck in that same on/off cycleโ€ฆitโ€™s not a willpower problem.

Itโ€™s just the wrong approach. ๐Ÿ‘†

I remember the first time I stepped inside a gymโ€ฆ

Feeling like everyone knew what they were doing except me.

Like a bloody fish out of water.

Uncomfortable as hell.

So Iโ€™d stick to the stuff I knew, which was really only one thingโ€ฆ

The bloody treadmill ๐Ÿคฃ

Once I discovered what should I actually be doing, I still found myself moving towards the treadmill.

But once I did my first full workout there, I realised most people were thinking exactly the same thing as me.

Worrying that other people were watching them and judging.

Thing is, we are all the centre of our own universe.

No one cares what you are doing in there or why are you doing it.

They are focused on themselves just like you are focused on yourself.

Once you get over that fear, you stop giving a damn what others think.

Every single time, the fear was always worse than the actual reality.

If youโ€™ve been putting joining a gym or maybe attending a class or run groupโ€ฆ

Thatโ€™s the fear talking, not the reality.

Everyone started somewhere, every single person.

Take that first step and youโ€™ll never look back.

If you want some help with that, come join us at Infinite.

Edinburgh Marathon for these 3 infinite legends at the weekendโ€ฆ

Very hot challenging conditions! Itโ€™s races like these that if your hydration/fuelling is not on pointโ€ฆ

Finishing becomes a bloody challenge!

Ian Mile: Smashed in his first ever Marathon! 4:05.48 (strava time)

Been seriously impressed with Ianโ€™s consistency since starting.

When he first joined he asked if sub 5 hours would be possible?

He almost went under 4 and would have easily achieved that in more favourable conditions.

Crazy stuff from a lad thatโ€™s new to running! Incredible work.

John Cook: It was Johnโ€™s first ever Marathon too! 3:38.30

Cracking time for his first ever Marathon.

If you could of met John a year ago, you wouldnโ€™t have recognised him.

Heโ€™s 32kg lighter now and back then couldnโ€™t run a mile never mind a Marathon!

Heโ€™s got the Speyside Way 50km Ultra Marathon next! Mental!

Amanda Anderson: Amazing effort from Amanda 5:09.00 in brutal heat with compromised training!

Lost count of how many Marathons she has managed!

Tough couple months with an injury so training has not been ideal.

Turned up on the day and got it done though! That takes a different sort of mindset, especially when itโ€™s challenging conditions.

What a bunch of absolute legends!

I take so much inspiration away from seeing other people gooing through a journey like this.

Iโ€™ve said this a million times: Youโ€™ve no idea what you are capable ofโ€ฆuntil you go and find out.

If youโ€™re interested in finding out what you are capable ofโ€ฆ

And you want a clear plan, support, accountability & a community that wants you to winโ€ฆ
