Here’s what a runs & workouts look like at the moment…

3 kids with one of them 12 weeks old.

Tuesday: Full Body Workout 1
Wednesday: AM > Run Session 2 - Threshold Session / PM > Hyrox Workout
Thursday: Run Session 3 - 60mins Easy Run
Friday: Full Body Workout 2
Saturday: REST
Sunday: REST

Haven’t bother scheduling anything in at the weekends as it can be a nightmare to get in.

But still making progress and that’s all that counts 🙌

Every single person here…started from nothing.

No crazy events done. No body they were proud of.

Just a decision to do something about it.

Victoria started wanting to get leaner and fitter.

This year alone, smashed in a Hyrox, Ultra Marathon, PB Marathon, PB Half Marathon, PB 10km, PB 5km.

Jordan wanted to drop a bit of body fat, get leaner and run a half marathon.

He went onto get in the shape of his life, complete a Hyrox, Marathons & Ultra marathons.

Dave wanted to get a bit leaner and improve his performance with his running.

A year later and he’s literally winning events, winning the Ben Braghie 24 hour ultra race.

Fiona swore she’d never do a Hyrox…

Crossed a Hyrox finish line this year and lost 37lbs during a fat loss phase.

Calum lost over 4 stone and got in the shape of his life.

All whilst running his own busines and working offshore.

Dale started wanting to drop some unwanted body fat and maybe do a 10km.

A year later he lost 2.5 stone & completed a 50km Ultra Marathon.

Terri-May dropped 10kg and got in the shape of her life.

Doing all this as an extremely busy Mum.

None of them arrived ready.

None of them had perfect conditions or unlimited time.

They all had challenges.

They all did one thing…they just started.

That’s the only difference between them and where you are right now.

The priority list for Infinite 8 opens up this weekend…

You’ll get access to the early bird discount.

Message INFINITE 8 and i’ll send you the link to join the list.

What should you eat before your run? 👇
The honest answer, it depends on the run.

How long is it? How hard is it? What time of day?

The fuelling strategy changes depending on all of those.

Here's how to think about it…
Under 60 minutes at an easy pace?

You don't need much, or anything at all.

If it's first thing in the morning a small snack works fine.

Banana, a slice of toast, small bowl of cereal.

Something light that won't sit in your stomach.

If it's later in the day and you've eaten normally, you're probably good to go as you are.

60-90 minutes >> now it starts to matter more.

2-3 hours before: a proper carb-based meal.

Oats, rice, pasta, bagels, toast, cereal etc.

Something that gives you sustained energy without feeling heavy.

30-60 minutes before: something smaller and quick to digest. Banana, energy bar, a couple of rice cakes, bowl of cereal.

Avoid anything high in fat or fibre close to the run >> that's a recipe for a bad time. 💩
Anything over 90 minutes >> fuelling before AND during matters.

2-3 hours before: a full meal. Higher carbs, moderate protein, low fat and fibre.

During the run: start taking on carbs at 45-60 minutes. 1 gel every 30-45 minutes after that.

Around 60g of carbs per hour.

Don't wait until you feel tired to fuel…by that point it's too late.
For my easy runs, usually nothing or a banana if it's first thing.

For long runs and threshold sessions: oats with a banana and honey 2 hours before or bowl of frosties.

Gels during anything over 90 minutes.

I used to go out for 2+ hour runs with nothing on me and wonder why I was bloody destroyed afterwards.

Turned out it was a fuelling problem >> not a fitness problem.
Match the fuel to the demand.

Easy short run, keep it light or skip it.
Hard or long session >> fuel properly before and during.

Get this right and your runs will feel completely different.
This is exactly the kind of thing we cover inside Infinite 8.

Training and nutrition working together >>not guessing one and hoping the other takes care of itself.

If you keep having to start again >> this is worth reading. 👇

Starting isn't the problem.

Most people are brilliant at starting.

New week, new plan, fresh motivation >>> let's go.

The problem is what happens 3 or 4 weeks in.

When the novelty wears off.

When life gets in the way.

When motivation disappears and there's nothing to replace it.

That's where it falls apart…every single time.

And then the cycle begins again.

You start. You stop. You feel guilty. You wait for the right moment.

You start again.

Sound familiar? 😅

Most people put this down to a lack of discipline or willpower.

It's not that.
The real reason you keep starting again is this:

You've been trying to rely on motivation instead of building a system.

Motivation gets you started but, it was never going to keep you going.

The people who stop starting over aren't more disciplined than you.

They just have the right structure around them.
Here's what that structure looks like:

✅ A plan that's built around your actual life >> not some ideal version of it✅ Clear targets so you always know what you're doing and why✅ Accountability so the busy weeks don't silently turn into months off track✅ A goal worth training towards, something that makes showing up mean something
When those things are in place…

You stop starting over.

Not because you suddenly become a different person.

Because you've removed the gaps that let it fall apart.
This is exactly what we build inside Infinite 8.

8 weeks of proper structure, real accountability and a plan that fits your actual life.

Signs up open this weekend. £149 early bird price.

Progress update from Chrissy: 5km PB & almost 2 stone down.

This past weekend, he smashed in a sub 22mins 5km.

Mad as when he started he was hitting around 27-28mins for his 5km time.

Over the past few months he has;

✅ Lost almost 2 stone of body fat
✅ Taken his 5km from 27-28mins >> sub 22mins
✅ Become the fittest he has ever been
✅ Turned up to our team sessions and pushed himself
✅ A half marathon booked for the end of the year

But here’s the thing I really want to highlight…

He’s had a family holiday, multiple busy weekends, birthday parties etc…

Most over the Summer months push off progress…until things calm down.

Chrissy hasn’t done that…he’s still enjoyed his Summer and made progress.

He’s been able to eat and drink what he wants on holiday guilt free…not stressing about it.

And then he came back and went straight back to normal.

That’s the difference between someone who is ‘dieting’ and someone who’s building a lifestyle.

Life will always be busy, there will always be something on the horizon.

Don’t use it as a reason not to take action.

Well done Chrissy, what a legend!

If you are interested in finding out if Infinite could help you…

On Friday, sign ups open for our Infinite 8 program.

Down to the Den for a 5km time trial this morning with this legend

Pb for James, getting closer to sub 19mins.

19:13

Next 6 weeks…watch this space.

Aborted 5km time trial for me 😭😂

Recovery was in the bin and felt rubbish.

PB mile and 2 mile so not the end of the world.

Going to go again next week and see if I can get the sub 18 ticked off 🙌🏻

Frustrating as hell when things don’t go to plan.

But fully recovered, we go again 💪🏻
