Staff Training Closure

The practice will be closed on Thursday 4th June from 1pm for essential staff training. All GP practices in the North Down and Ards area will close for this.

The GP Out of Hours Service will provide urgent medical care from 1pm, they can be contacted on: 028 91822344.

For anything serious or life-threatening please attend Accident and Emergency at the Ulster Hospital or dial 999 for an ambulance.

We will re-open on Friday 5th June as normal.

❌️UPDATE ❌️

The system is still down, we have no access to patient's records, therefore cannot book appointments, or provide prescriptions. In light of this we have temporarily switched off the prescription ordering telephone line.
Repeat medication requests will now be delayed by at least 72 hours, if you are in need of urgent medication, an emergency supply can be issued from your regular chemist.
To help us, please only contact the practice with urgent issues, if you're query is routine and can safely wait, please consider contacting us later in the week.

Our computer system is down this morning, the problem is isolated to this practice and engineers are working on the issue to try and resolve it ASAP.
This is beyond our control.

We are only able to take emergency calls at the minute.

The practice will be closed for essential staff training from 1pm to 6pm today (29/4/26).

Covid-19 Spring Booster Update

We are about to start contacting patients who are eligible for the Spring Covid Booster vaccinations.

Who is eligible?
* Patients aged 75 years and over.
* Patients aged 18-74 who are on immunosupression medication.

No other groups are eligible at this time (including household members of eligible patients).

We have been allocated 400 vaccines initially by the Public Health Agency and therefore will stagger our invites over the next few weeks with the aim to arrange more clinics when we receive confirmation of an additional vaccine supply.

Our systems are back up and running.

At this point we now have a considerable back log due to the loss of systems. We respectfully ask for your patience as we start the process of working through requests. The practice has experienced full internet outage causing our software system to go down, this is also affecting other practices in the South East Trust.

We are unable to access any patent information at this time, meaning we will not be able to provide the booking line and results cover between 1-3pm, order prescriptions or book appointments until this issue is resolved. This is beyond the practice's control and we will update you when we have further information.
