💚 Wellbeing in Action at Ganaway 💚

Today I had the pleasure of delivering a wellbeing workshop with a group of young cadets as part of a programme with Cooperation Ireland.

Together we explored the difference between knowing what supports our wellbeing and actually doing it. Through a range of activities and discussions, we looked at how small, everyday actions can help support positive mental wellbeing.

A big thank you to for the opportunity to be involved and for their ongoing work supporting young people through meaningful programmes and experiences.

It was a privilege to spend time with this group and to encourage conversations around wellbeing, resilience, and looking after ourselves.

✨ EVER WANTED TO TRY AERIAL BUT DIDN’T WANT TO COMMIT TO A FULL TERM? ✨

Now’s your chance!

On Saturday 20th June, Twirl Fit is running a day of beginner-friendly taster sessions in Aerial Silks, Pole Fitness, Aerial Hoop, Doubles Hoop and Stretch & Deep Relaxation.

Not only can you try something new, you’ll also be supporting something incredibly special. 💚

We’re fundraising for Ellie, one of our lovely former students, who is taking on Brave the Shave to raise money in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Whether you’ve always been curious about aerial, want to challenge yourself, or you’re already an aerial student and would love to try a different discipline, we’d love to see you there.

What a fun week back at nursery looking at big feelings through Ravi’s Roar 🐯✨

Today we explored anger and how sometimes our feelings can build up until we feel ready to “ROAR!” We practised noticing the signs in our bodies and learning a simple strategy:

🛑 Stop
🌬 Take a deep breath
➡️ Then go

It’s easier to notice when our car needs a refuel, recharge or but it care compared to noticing when we’re running low ourselves.

Rest isn’t lazy.
Slowing down isn’t failure.

What a joy to be back in a lovely calm space to begin another 4 weeks on Understanding Feelings 💛

Today we explored worries and how our bodies can sometimes give us clues before we even realise something is bothering us. Through stories, play, and simple breathing activities, we practised ways to help our brains and bodies feel calm, safe, and settled again 🌈✨

A gorgeous first session full of imagination, learning, and calming breaths.
