A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of manufacturing the trophies for Wakefield Crossfit's competition 🏆🏋️‍♂️

Creating bronze, silver and gold finishes using powder coated recycled steel, these awards were built to reflect the hard work and determination shown throughout the event ♻

Wybone Goes International ✈️🌍

From our factory floor in Barnsley to Luanda, Angola 🇦🇴 We’re proud to see Wybone products making a global impact.

Last week, six bespoke Torpedo Tray Top Recycling Units were shipped overseas as part of an exciting international healthcare project: The new specialist burns Hospital in Angola 🏥

Designed, manufactured, and shipped by Wybone 🚮

Before discovering Wybone, the project team had only been able to source litter bins from manufacturers in the USA. Wybone stepped in with a bespoke UK-manufactured solution that not only matched the design specification, but also delivered outstanding value, flexibility, and customer support throughout the project 🙌

Behind the scenes of something big in Leeds 🏭

Last week, we welcomed Leeds City Council, frontline teams and Litter Free Leeds into our factory to see their bins being brought to life.

From production line to finishing touches 🚮 Great to have visitors getting hands-on with the team too 👏

This project will see 1,000 of our MLB/112/ECO bins being rolled out across the city, each featuring Swoopy the Owl 🦉 and Litter Free Leeds vinyls to help encourage a cleaner Leeds 🌱

We’re proud to be manufacturing, delivering and siting every bin through our stop-and-drop service. Meaning as soon as they leave the factory, they are ready for public use 🚛

A brilliant project to be part of, and a great example of UK manufacturing in action 🇬🇧

More than just a donation point. It is hope in action. 🐾

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up and support.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Wybone for donating this lovely new, shiny pet food donation point, and also to Tesco Bidston for allowing to collect in store. This is a great help to us on a regular basis. We normally house 120 cats at any one time so we are really thankful to everyone who donates cat food here.

We are a separately registered charity to the National RSPCA so rely on your support to help us rescue, rehabilitate and rehome over 500 cats each year.

We are always grateful of any cat food pouches and any treats for the cats in our care.

As always thank you for your support, we couldn't do it without you.

Insight into Our Work at Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

From prototype to ward-ready in just 14 days.

When Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust were preparing to open the new neonatal mother and baby unit at Seren Lodge, they required a specialist internal waste solution designed with safety and security as the priority.

The objective was clear:
✔ Prevent access to deposited waste
✔ Reduce the risk of bins being used to cause harm
✔ Maintain a clean, professional aesthetic suitable for a new build healthcare environment

What We Delivered -

Wybone supplied a 42L Security Bin, manufactured in the UK from galvanised steel and finished with a durable powder coating to withstand demanding healthcare settings.

Key features included:
- Secure design restricting access to contents
- Chamfered corners to reduce ligature risk
- Robust construction for long-term performance
- Easy-clean finish for infection control compliance

From Discovery to Delivery – 14 Days -

- Initial discovery meeting
- Prototype designed, manufactured and demonstrated within 7 days
- Technical drawings and visuals provided for approval
- Same day sign off
- 12 units prioritised in production
- Hand delivered in time for the unit’s launch

This rapid turnaround ensured Seren Lodge opened fully equipped with a safer, fit for purpose waste solution.

Collaboration in Action -

Following an initial consultation with our Managing Director, CWP identified several adjustments to meet their specific requirements. Our team responded immediately, refining the design and presenting the improved solution to their mental health inpatient teams.

The bins were extremely well received by clinical colleagues, reflecting the strength of collaboration and a shared commitment to creating safer healthcare environments.

We’re incredibly proud to see one of our knife amnesty bins playing a real role in making communities safer.

Sheffield South West NPT recently shared that knives have been deposited into one of our bins, meaning these dangerous items are now permanently off the streets. That’s a powerful outcome and exactly why knife amnesty schemes matter.

We’re hugely grateful to the officers involved for securing the knives and continuing the vital work they do to protect the community. Every knife surrendered is a potential incident prevented, and seeing these bins used as intended reinforces their importance.

This is a strong example of how collaboration between local policing teams and practical public safety infrastructure can make a genuine difference. 👏

The documentary follows a group of climbers taking on Kilimanjaro in support of Kidscape, sharing deeply personal stories of bullying, resilience and the long term impact these experiences can have.

We are heading to Birmingham next week for the LARAC Conference and Celebration Awards 2025.
