Congratulations to our friend and colleague Charlotte on her new job. After almost 10 years of working in the team we sadly say goodbye to Charlotte as she takes on a new role as a Senior Children's Physiotherapist in Rotherham.

We would like to thank Charlotte for her dedication to the team and the children and families that she has supported over the last 10 years.

Thank you for all your hard work Charlotte you will be missed :(

Working Together to Make a Difference
We are asking schools to work in partnership with us to reduce waste, lower costs, and ensure continued access to high-quality Speech and Language support materials for children.

✅ Reuse Resources
• Keep all Speech and Language Therapy resources as master copies
• Avoid sending home original packs where possible
• Use photocopies or digital versions for individual children
• Store resources centrally so they can be reused with multiple children

✅ Print Smart
• Use school printers to produce copies as required
• Print in black and white if appropriate to reduce costs
• Consider laminating resources for repeated use

✅ Access Our Toolkit
• Download printable resources anytime
• Reduce the need for physical packs sent from the NHS

Why this matters?
By working together we can:
• Reduce printing waste
• Use NHS funding better
• Keep access to quality materials
• Support more children in Barnsley

We remain committed to:
• High-quality evidence based resources
• Supporting school staff
• Guidance on using materials

For support, please contact: [email protected]

Thank you!
Together, we can make our resources go further

Congratulations to our Children's Occupational Therapy Team. 🌟🎉 We are so proud of you! In early 2025, a new ‘bite-sized sensory workshop’ offer was developed for parents who wanted face to face and practical sensory education. Parents highlighted the value of personal interaction, the opportunity to ask questions, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Next up we’re recognising teams who demonstrated excellence in supporting equality and diversity, and in involving people who use our services, carers or staff. It’s our living our values excellence – equality and involvement category presented by non-executive director Rokaiya Khan.

Our runner up is… The children’s occupational therapy team! 👏 In early 2025, a new ‘bite-sized sensory workshop’ offer was developed for parents who wanted face to face and practical sensory education. Parents highlighted the value of personal interaction, the opportunity to ask questions, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere

Now on to our winner… Carers’ support, equality and involvement team! 🥇 The carers’ therapeutic fund supports unpaid carers, especially young carers and minority communities, through small grants that reduce inequality and improve wellbeing. Our rising stars are up next, recognising those that are on the up in their careers whether new to our Trust or in an evolving role. To present we have non-executive director Margaret Kitching. 💙

Runner up in this category is… Michael Davies! 🎊 Michael joined forensic CAMHS in August 2025 and has been described as an amazing addition to the team. All team members speak fondly about him and describe him as a funny, kind and a well-respected team member who they enjoy working alongside.

A huge congratulations to our winner… Mel Roberts-Richardson! 🏆 Mel joined her team in January 2023, undertaking an apprenticeship as a therapy assistant. She has since become an essential and highly valued member of the team with her positive ‘can do’ attitude.
