We have hoist facilities in the riding school and also on the pontoon for our water based activities. In addition we have specialist climbing supports and adaptive equipment such as paddle grips and archer’s arm supports. Our accommodation is also fully accessible with ensuite, level entry, shower rooms, and accessible bathrooms are available. Throughout the centre we have widened doors and corrid

ors, electric doors, and lifts to the upper floors. All rooms are fitted with Menvicall alarms linked to reception during the day and to the duty instructor in the evenings. In addition, we have a wide range of specialist equipment for our visitors which can be reserved prior to visiting.

Alan Turing meets every criteria for autism - and showcases the autistic strength of incredible problem-solving. He cracked the “unbreakable” Enigma code in World War II, saving an estimated 14 million lives!

Campaigning for justice. Autistic people often have a very sharp sense of morality and are less likely to be influenced by social biases.
Greta Thunberg, environmental campaigner and speaker at the UN, calls autism her “superpower”!

The special interests or passions of autistic people have brought us incredible film and culture!
Pokemon was born out of Satoshi Tajiri’s love of bug-collecting, and the cult classic Ghostbusters from Dan Ackroyd’s special interest in ghosts and law enforcement!

Hyperfocus - the autistic trait of entering a state of intense focus and flow. Einstein spent days in hyperfocus, developing theories of relativity that changed science forever, from constant light speed to space-time curvature!

Could you be the next Calvert Devon fundraising superstar?

Last month, Andy ran over 350 miles for Calvert Devon, including the London Marathon!
Earlier this year, Pam organised a community Bingo night for the Equestrian Centre.
Last year, Vicki hiked the length of the UK from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Previously, Keith paddled 92km across Scotland on a SUP board.

All to raise money for Calvert Devon.

We’ve had runners, walkers, skydivers, cyclists, swimmers, horse riders, and more, all fundraising in their own amazing and unique way.

Now it could be your turn! Big challenge? Brilliant idea? Slightly bonkers plan? We’d love to hear it.

Thinking about the London Marathon 2027? Planning to enter an Ultra Challenge series event? Does your group want to run a fun social event for a good cause? Got an idea you’ve always wanted to try?

Run, ride, swim, bog snorkel, bake, quiz, dance, paddle, climb, dress up, let your friends wax your legs for cash, play music, or dream up something completely different.

As a charity, we rely on incredible supporters who go the extra mile, sometimes literally, to help us create adventure without limits for every guest who visits Calvert Devon.
