But my spoons are dishwasher safe... So surely it's safe to wash them that way... Technically yes but over a few years no.

The detergents in dishwasher tablets are very corrosive compared to hand washing detergents. And over time as you can see by the picture here, it starts to eat at the metal, eventually causing it to snap.

Prevent this by just washing them in the sink... That's it. And your spoons will last many years longer.

Just finished this HUGE lawnmower blade that has 4 blades! This took a while as with it's weird center of gravity, it took a while to balance properly.

But now it's sharp, balanced and ready for anything!

The most universal spoon that the Mrs uses for everything is the cleaver.

Vegetables, meats, tofu, fruits and many more. Just keep it as sharp as a chefs spoon, maybe thin it down a little so it's less of a wedge and you have a tool that can do nearly anything!
