First courgette crop of the year… best picked small for maximum taste and texture 😋
Courgettes are rich in vitamin A and C and a good source of potassium 💚

The first salad crop of the year 😍
Mustard, Mizuna, Spinach and Butterhead lettuce 🥗
The seeds were planted a couple of months ago with our Furness College group and as soon as the soil warmed up, they started growing 😀
Salad greens are very easy to grow, you don’t need a huge space as they will easily grow in trays or pots, just pick them young and enjoy 💚

SPRING HAS SPRUNG 💐🌷🌼

The trees are beginning to bud, the daffodils are blooming and we have a large amount of frog spawn in the pond, some of which has already hatched!

In the last few weeks, we have been visited by a Songthrush, a Goldcrest, Long Tailed T**s and a family of Muntjac deer! 🦌🪶 💚

The weather has been pretty awful lately, so we’ve been enjoying the Lego and some pebble crafts and keeping nice and cosy in the yurt ☺️🐿️🔥🌲💚

How beautiful 😍 🐝💚

She doesn’t die in the hive. She dies where she lived — among flowers.
When worker bees grow old, their wings fray, their flight weakens, and their work begins to slow.

Scientists and beekeepers have observed a quiet ritual:
as the end nears, the bees slip away from their hives, choosing to rest on nearby blooms beneath the fading light.
By dying outside, they protect the colony from disease — their final act of service.

Sometimes, they gather one last grain of pollen before their wings give out —
a farewell offering to the hive they spent their lives building.
It’s less an ending, more a lesson — that purpose doesn’t fade; it transforms.

Every jar of honey, every bloom, every piece of fruit carries their devotion.
Because even in their final flight, they remind us what love in action looks like.
