Eleven years ago, when I first stepped into this world, much of what I now share was completely new to me.
Like many people, I was fascinated by the tears, the shaking and the emotional releases.
And whilst I absolutely believe there is a place for emotional expression, my perspective has evolved over the years.
Working with hundreds of people has taught me that meaningful change isn't always found in the most intense moments.
More often, it's found in the preparation, the pacing, the choice, the self-trust and the integration afterwards.
To be clear, emotional release isn't something I fear or avoid.
I've witnessed and held tears, grief, anger and profound moments of insight create meaningful shifts for people. I've experienced them myself.
It's what happens when somebody opens something they don't yet have the support, skills or capacity to hold.
How do we help people stay connected to themselves when something significant emerges?
How do we support people to understand what's happening in their body, resource themselves and make sense of their experience afterwards?
Because whether we're talking about breathwork, sound therapy, contrast therapy, Reiki, Art, circles or talking therapy, these practices can be incredibly supportive when shared with care.
This work is my passion, and perhaps that's why I care so deeply about the conversations around training, responsibility, attunement, integration and practitioner support.
The modality matters.
But the person facilitating it matters too. Sharing responsibly, after years of development, deserves to be valued.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Big love
