🍕❤️ Who says support visits can’t be filled with laughter, creativity and a little bit of Italian magic?

Today, Sian and Olivia turned a social call into a pizza-making adventure, creating this delicious pizza completely from scratch! From kneading the dough and spreading the rich tomato sauce to sprinkling the cheese and carefully choosing the toppings, every step was packed with fun, teamwork and achievement.

Moments like these are about so much more than making food. They’re about building confidence, developing independence, creating meaningful connections and making memories that put a smile on everyone’s face.

Judging by the finished result, we think they may have discovered a hidden talent for pizza making! 👩‍🍳🍕

Fancy making your own pizza at home? Here’s a simple recipe inspired by Sian and Olivia’s creation:

🍕 Ingredients

* 250g self-raising flour
* 150ml warm water
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* Tomato pizza sauce/passata
* Grated mozzarella cheese
* Pepperoni slices
* Red onion (sliced)
* Mushrooms (sliced)
* Mixed herbs/oregano

🍕 Method

1. Mix the flour, water and olive oil to form a dough.
2. Knead for 5 minutes and roll out into a pizza shape.
3. Spread over the tomato sauce.
4. Add cheese, onion, mushrooms and pepperoni.
5. Sprinkle with herbs.
6. Bake at 200°C (180°C fan) for 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy.
7. Slice, serve and enjoy! 😋

💙 What a start! 💙

Today was Dulanjali’s very first day with Caremark Cardiff & The Vale of Glamorgan. After attending our team meeting this morning, she headed out into the community and immediately demonstrated the values that make great care so special.

Rather than simply completing tasks, Dulanjali took the time to connect with Patricia Holder through something they both enjoy – music. 🎹🎶 Before long, they were playing the piano and singing together, creating a moment of joy, laughter and companionship.

This is what person-centred care is all about. It’s about building relationships, understanding what matters to people, and making every visit meaningful.

We are so proud to have Dulanjali join our team and cannot think of a better way to begin her Caremark journey.

Mrs Walker may have been turning 93, but she wasn’t too keen on admitting it! 😂❤️
