The Adult Reflux Store is a family owned business founded by Rachel and Jonathan Phillips. It is a trading division of GroupFMI Limited which has been trading since 1996. babyREFLUX was our first company to specialise in baby reflux devices in the United Kingdom and is now the largest supplier of reflux related products in Europe. Last year babyREFLUX helped support over 38,500 parents and carers.

One day back in 2009, a customer of babyREFLUX contacted us to specially make her father-in-law an adult version of the baby wedge. We worked with the gentleman to get the right size and elevation of wedge and he was delighted with the results. From this point forward we commissioned a few more adult size wedges and had them available for anyone who asked, on our babyREFLUX website. We are an experienced sympathetic retailer of bedding supports and can tailor to the needs of any customer. Recently we were asked "A friend of mine has been told by her doctor that she's had and ignored acid reflux for too long which has now affected her lungs?!? Does that sound likely?"

This is what we said: "Poor lady, They are linked. Gastroesophageal reflux disease may trigger pulmonary conditions. What happens is local irritation in the Oesophagus can cause symptoms that range from indigestion, like chest discomfort and abdominal pain, to coughing and wheezing. If the gastric acid reaches the back of the throat, it may cause a bitter taste in the mouth and/or inhaling of the gastric acid into the lungs. The acid can cause throat irritation, nasal drip and hoarseness, as well as recurrent cough, chest congestion and lung inflammation leading to asthma and in severe cases pneumonia."

Don't ignore a bitter taste in your mouth, night time cough or wheeze or pain.
