Protein yoghurt is such a great way to increase your protein intake - plus it tastes better than normal yoghurt anyway! It’s NB to read the nutritional label as lots of yoghurts pose as high-protein but actually they’re just high calorie!

A good rule of thumb to assess whether it’s high protein:
Anything above 6g protein/100g is looking good! Closer to 10g/100g is a shining star 🌟

Here’s a breakdown of my recommended brands, the calories & protein (per 100g), and where to buy them in the various countries I have lived/live in 🤪

Mauritius 🇲🇺
➡️ Fromage Blanc 3% | C 68 P 7g | Super U
➡️ Yoplait Greek Nature | C 68 P 7g | London Way (but often OOS)
➡️ Delta Yaourt Grec 10% | C 134 P 6.5g | Super U
➡️ THE WINNER 🥇 Delta Yaourt Grec O% | C 57 P 9g | Super U (get there on a Thursday midday for dairy deliveries!)

United Kingdom 🇬🇧 (you are spoilt for choice here with amazing protein yoghurts). My top two:
➡️ Yeo Valley Organic Greek Recipe 0% | C 58 P 10g | Waitrose/Sainsburys/Ocado
➡️ Fage Total 0% | C 54 P 10.3g | Sainsburys/Waitrose/Tescos/Ocado

South Africa 🇿🇦 (we’ve been slow to the protein party, but I’ve been told about 2 new brands which I’ll share here)
➡️ The Gourmet Greek Low Fat Strained Yoghurt | C 53 P 9.5g | Available in JHB, CT & DBN. Check their website for stockists. The Gourmet Greek
➡️ Vars Skyr | C 60 P 11.5g | Available in CT & can order online Vars
➡️ Thick Plot | Approx. C 53-72 P 8-10.5g depending on flavour) | Available in CT & can order online ThickPlot

I get why you’re confused. 🫤

Here are some tips on how to cut through the noise:

1. Follow the evidence, not the influencer. If there’s no research behind the claim? It’s marketing.

2. Check who’s getting paid. Selling the supplement or being paid to push it signals a red flag.

3. Distrust anyone naturally lean selling you a shortcut. Genetics and a green tea sponsorship aren’t the same as a plan that works for your body.

4. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Real progress doesn’t come from one product or one hack.

5. Boring beats hype every single time. Strength training, protein, sleep, time. Boring just doesn’t sell that well!

Things you may or may not know about me…

I am a leap year baby. Yes, I am born on the 29th of February so I am actually 10.5 years old.

I am married to my high school sweetheart who is Italian. The first question he asks me every morning is “what’s for dinner?”

I was born in Jo’burg, went to school in Natal, and university in Cape Town. I then moved to the Bath in the UK, and now I live in Mauritius. I am exhausted just typing that.

I have an Honours Degree in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management. I am also a qualified teacher (and personal trainer - obvs!)

I wanted 4 children but our move to the UK nearly broke me. Trying to juggle my 3 and their schedules at the moment makes me grateful not to have a 4th!

I love chocolate and gin. Since turning 40, I don’t drink wine - unless its a crisp rose ;)

If I love you, I will cook for you. My love language is food, nurturing and gifts. My cup is full when family and close friends visit us in our home.

If you don’t have a sense of humour, we will never be friends. Laughter is my best medicine (second to running!)

I generally don’t comment when misinformed women make ridiculous comments in relation to exercise, health and weight loss. But lately I’ve found myself getting seriously triggered.

It makes me slightly angry but more than that, just sad that there is such a lack of education in the health & wellness space, even with the most intelligent people I know.

So I thought I’d share my views here rather, in the hope to dispel some myths & elevate your knowledge. When you know better, you can do better.

1. “Food is the least important thing when raising kids.” I have spent the past 14 yrs prioritising healthy, nourishing food as one of the key pillars of my childrens’ upbringing. It’s the base of all health - both physically & mentally.

2. “I’ve stopped running because it spikes my cortisol.” What is up with this ridiculous “cortisol craze” making women stop doing the exercise they love 🤯 Cortisol spikes are normal when you workout. The real issue is chronic stress: bad sleep, under-eating, no rest days. Fix that, not your training.

3. “Don’t add bananas to your smoothies.” We live in a world where the avg person doesn’t even get 2k steps in per day. But there are people with significant influence focusing on BS like this. Bananas are the least of your concerns, girls.

4. “You’re just lucky that you’re genetically small.” This one nearly sent me over the edge. I actually find it insulting. I train my arse off 6 days/wk. I prioritise my nutrition, and I could easily be larger should I choose that way of life. Genes load the gun. Lifestyle pulls the trigger.

5. “You just wait until perimenopause hits you.” Similar to when you haven’t had kids & the old Tannie tells you you’ll never get your body back. I’m not denying I won’t be affected. But it’s certainly not something to fear.

6. “I run to build muscle.” I once ran 90km in one day & I’ve never been more undermuscled, injured and in terrible shape. Run, by all means, but not to build muscle!

Which one triggers you the most? Comment 👇

I know how frustrating it is to feel like you’re doing everything and still not getting the results you want.

That’s exactly why I coach the way I do today.

No extremes. No fads. Just evidence-based habits that busy women can actually sustain.

If you’re tired of starting over every Monday and you’re ready for a plan that fits your life, comment `CEO` and I’ll send you all the information about my online coaching. 💪🤍

We love a social gathering... but let’s be honest, they can make fat loss feel a whole lot harder. 😅

The challenge isn’t the occasional braai, birthday, or dinner out. It’s when every social event turns into a weekend of “”I’ll start again on Monday.””

For our family, so much of life revolves around good food, good people, and making memories. And I never want that to change.

The goal isn’t to stop living. It’s to learn how to enjoy both.

One meal won’t make or break your progress. It’s what you do most of the time that counts. 🤍
