I stopped cooking every night five years ago. Here’s what I do instead.

60 minutes on a Sunday. 5 proper homemade dinners. £30 - £40. Fresh ingredients. Family of four.

That’s the whole system. One session, one week sorted, zero stress at 6pm.

If you’re cooking every night and wondering why you’re exhausted - this is for you.

One hour. One session. One food shop of £30 - £40.

Five homemade dinners ready and waiting in the fridge before the week even starts. Fresh ingredients, family friendly, no shortcuts.

I’ve been doing this for years and the difference it makes to how the whole week feels is genuinely hard to overstate.

This is the system that changed everything for me.

60 minutes once a week. A £30 - £40 food shop. Five proper homemade dinners for my family of four.

No cooking every night. No decision fatigue at 6pm. No staring into the fridge wondering what on earth to make.

Just one session, one week sorted, and the kind of calm that comes from knowing dinner is already done.

Comment BCC and I’ll send you everything you need to do the same.

One hour of cooking a week.

That’s it. That’s the whole secret.

£30 - £40 food shop, 60 minutes in the kitchen and my family of four has five proper homemade dinners sorted before Monday even starts.

Same results as cooking every night. A fraction of the time. And the kind of Sunday that actually sets you up for the week ahead rather than leaving you dreading it.

The (less than) £5 meal I batch on repeat for my family of four.

Pearl barley risotto with courgette and peas. One pot. £4.79 for four portions.

Reheat in 20 minutes after a terrible day and suddenly life feels better.

This is the one I turn to when the week has got on top of me - it’s so easy to make, even easier to batch, and it tastes like someone actually looked after you.

Most of the work is done in advance. All you have to do on the night is turn the oven on.

The £16 batch that gives my family three easy weeknight dinners.

Creamy pesto chicken pasta. Sweet potato tacos. Easy bean chilli.

One hour in the kitchen on Sunday. Three dinners sorted before the week even starts. No thinking at 6pm, no last-minute scramble, no staring into the fridge wondering what on earth to make.

Made ahead. Reheated in minutes. £16 for four people.

This is the system I use every single week.

60 minutes. 5 evening meals. £30. Family of four.

No overthinking. No daily stress. No staring into the fridge at 6pm wondering what on earth to make.

Just one hour of batch cooking that carries us through the whole week.

And you can do the exact same thing with Mix and Match Batch.

Comment BCC to find out how.
