Bright Blue Yoga Hi, my name is Georgina Bassford and I teach yoga classes and workshops in Bath.

I teach a variety of day and evening yoga classes in Bath including Slow Hatha Flow, Move.Relax.Restore, Yang-Yin, Restorative Yin, Pregnancy and Postnatal Mother & Baby Yoga classes as well as Womb to World Essential Birth Preparation for couples. I occasionally teach weekend workshops and Saturday classes and have a portfolio of regular and one-off private clients.

💙Days End Yoga and Pregnancy Yoga classes are on as normal for the first two weeks of August so hopefully see some of you then.

👍If you usually come to the Wednesday Slow Flow do try the Thursday 8pm Days End Yoga. I think you’ll like it!

Online Slow Flow Yoga
Monday 20th July
6:30-7:30pm

An hour of gentle yoga flow and held poses to mobilise, stretch, strengthen and relax - with a focus on POSTURE.

So you can expect upper back mobilisations, posterior chain strengtheners and core activation, all wrapped up in a slow yoga flow - with a relaxation at the end.

💙If you’d like to come to class and have a Class Pass, you can use that - just message me to book on.

Not too late to book - you can book up to 10 minutes before the class!

♥️ If you aren’t able to attend live for any reason, don’t worry, I record the session and will send it to you after the class. If you attend the class and would like to do the class again (because you enjoyed it so much!) then don’t worry, I send the recording to everyone who attended!

💚 As many of you know, I’m part of the Newbridge Community Hub charity committee team and we held a ‘Pilates & Pastries’ fundraising event on Saturday at the church with local Pilates instructor, Jess Watts .wttz

⭐️We sold out! and thanks Jess, who offered her time free, led an inspiring and fun class

💚Big thanks also to Ann at Gaia on Chelsea Road for donating the coffee and offering us organic croissants at cost price 🙏🏻

⭐️We’re delighted to have raised a massive £568 for the Newbridge Comunity Hub!! And as importantly, raised awareness of the plight of the church and proved yet again how important this space is to many of us living in Newbridge.

💚This money will help with our set up costs and in prepping our case to the Methodist Church (who own the building) to lease or purchase it.

⭐️The church is for sale for £600k. Not that much really!

💚Perhaps you would like to invest in this incredible local space - or know someone who does ..?!

Just about managing to continue with classes on these hot days.

Sometimes we’ll be outside in the shade grassy area and when we’re inside we have 2-4 fans going and take practice at a steady pace.

When it’s hot like this we move less so even more reason to make it to class.

Two more weeks of normal classes and then a week off at the end of July.

All daytime classes then stop till Wednesday 2nd September. Evening classes restart for the first two weeks of August.

I’ll post these dates on here more clearly in the next few days

In the meantime, stay cool 😎 🧊 and stay moving 🕺😁

⭐️Obviously it’s been a hot week! And I’ve been desperate to get in some cold water.

⭐️I’m lucky to live a short drive away from the UK’s oldest river swimming club.

⭐️So when I woke up at 5:15 this morning I made a coffee packed up some nuts and fruit and headed out to

⭐️Was pretty sure they’d be other people there but in fact I had the river to myself. I should add I come here a lot and know it well. This was a safe endeavour!

Just a few words from some Pregnancy and Postnatal students recently.

A reminder that I run two Pregnancy Yoga classes and two Postnatal Mum & Baby Yoga classes each week:

Pregnancy Yoga: Wed 7:30-9pm, Thu 6-7:30pm

Postnatal Yoga: Mon & Wed 11-12:30pm

These are gorgeous classes which I have the pleasure to teach, offering mums and mums-to-be the space and time and permission to look after themselves at this crucial time in their lives.

The yoga is appropriately gentle but interestingly still often challenging and satisfying - and alongside the strength and healing, there is a focus on restorative practice and rest.

Plus always organic herbal teas and homemade biscuits, dark chocolate and nuts for snack after class.

Classes this week will be warm but I have three fans and doors and windows open, plus we sometimes practice on the shaded grass outside the church for evening classes when appropriate.
