🤍 Let’s Talk About… Self-Care 🤍

Self-care means something different to each of us. It’s personal, individual, and often looks very different depending on who we are and where we are in life.

We asked some of our wonderful Rooftops therapists to share what self-care means to them. Their reflections are honest, thoughtful and unique, reminding us that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to looking after ourselves.

We hope their words encourage you to pause for a moment and reflect on what self-care looks like for you. 🌿

🌿 There isn’t just one way to heal.

Wellbeing looks different for everyone.

For some, healing begins through talking. For others, it’s finding stillness, easing physical tension, reconnecting with themselves, or simply taking one small step forward.

At Rooftops Therapy & Wellbeing Rooms, we believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing. That’s why we’ve created a welcoming space where a range of experienced practitioners offer support for your mind, body and overall wellbeing—all under one roof.

Whether you’re looking for counselling, psychotherapy, massage, craniosacral therapy, reiki, coaching or other wellbeing support, we’re here to help you find the approach that’s right for you.

Whatever wellbeing looks like for you, there’s a place for you at Rooftops. 🤍

Your practice. Your hours. 🤍

Not every practitioner wants to work Monday to Friday, 9–5.

For some, evenings are when clients are available. For others, weekends are the perfect opportunity to grow a private practice around work, family or other commitments.

At Rooftops Therapy & Wellbeing Rooms, we currently have evening and weekend room hire available.

If you’ve been thinking about adding another clinic to your week, or you’re looking for a professional space without committing to full-time premises, we’d love to show you around.

Sometimes it’s not about working more—it’s about working in a way that suits you.

If that sounds like the right fit, we’d love to hear from you. 🤍

Let’s Talk About…

Domestic Abuse in Pregnancy

Pregnancy is often seen as a time of excitement and hope, but for some, it can also become a time of fear, uncertainty and isolation.

Domestic abuse doesn’t always involve physical violence. It can be emotional, psychological, financial, sexual or controlling behaviour. In fact, pregnancy can be the time when abuse first begins or existing abuse becomes more severe.

Signs you might need support…

🤍 You feel frightened by your partner’s reactions.

🤍 You find yourself walking on eggshells to avoid conflict.

🤍 You’re being isolated from family or friends.

🤍 Your finances, phone or daily activities are being monitored or controlled.

🤍 You’re constantly criticised, belittled or made to question yourself.

🤍 You’re made to feel guilty, ashamed or responsible for your partner’s behaviour.

🤍 You’re worried about attending appointments alone or speaking openly with professionals.

🤍 Deep down, you no longer feel safe.

If you’re reading this and recognise yourself in any of these experiences, please know that you are not alone, and you do not have to cope with it on your own.

As a therapist with specialist training in identifying and responding to domestic violence and abuse in pregnancy, I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

Because I believe support should be accessible to everyone, I also offer 6 free counselling sessions for all new clients.

You deserve to feel safe.
You deserve to be heard.
You deserve support. 🤍
