We see sunrises..deers...beautiful views and it's so peaceful..in the spring /summer
In the winter at 6 am we see very little other than each others head torches πŸ˜…
But we never give up..we don't wake up and think "wow I can't wait to go out in the pouring down rain in the pitch black and freezing cold"
But we still get up and get out there..why?...
Because it gives you a buzz all day long..clears the mind..wakes the body up and all done by 7am..when we enjoy our hot drinks with a smug smile
Moving, walking, running, exercising and cycling is sooo good for the mind and body!
The more often you do it the more it becomes a habit, part of your daily routine which you actually look forward to!
Whatever you have been putting off starting..make a start!
Slow and steady at first but never give up!!

⭐️ Use the gym on your holiday ⭐️

Hi all!
Back from a lovely reset in Zanzibar πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ
I preach consistency..this builds habit and training will become part of your life..this creates results!
I'm sorry to say that 1 or 2 sessions a week is not going to make a vast difference to your body, yes it's better than nothing but we need to be aiming for at least 3-4 sessions a week
These can be between 30-60 mins
I have to find time like anyone else..but I make it my priority and very little gets in the way except an emergency!
So if you are on holiday..use the gym if it has one!
Get it done first thing and I guarantee you will be feeling happy and smug for the rest of the day πŸ˜‚
I used the resort gym in Zanzibar..ok it was a little basic but all you need are a few weights and a mat πŸ‘πŸΌ
Nothing nicer than working up a sweat then having a dip in the sea to cool down 🌊

Strength training is one of the best investments for your health and more and more people are being advised to incorporate it into their daily lives.
It can reduce risks of cancer, cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes & Osteoporosis to name a few!
It builds and preserves muscle mass to fight Sarcopenia (progressive age related loss of skeletal muscle mass now recognised as a disease causing falls, fractures, disability and an even higher mortality rate in older adults)
It helps with reducing the risk of bone loss in women due to lower oestrogen levels during menopause.
