As the sun streams through the glass and the pods keep everyone warm and cosy, there's something truly special about watching the day gently transition into evening.
Three orangeries prepared, three tables beautifully set, and now we await the arrival of our guests to share in this experience.

One of humanity’s greatest fears is rejection.

And when we first started our private dining experience at ohmkara, that fear sat heavily on my mind.

Our dining experience is built in the back garden of our home — not on a busy high street, not inside a commercial restaurant filled with noise and distraction.

At first, I questioned whether people would understand it.
Would they reject something so different?
Would they prefer somewhere bigger, louder, more traditional?

But the truth is…
we never wanted to create just another restaurant experience.

After years in the corporate world, constantly surrounded by pressure, noise, and the never-ending grind, I realised how much people crave peace, connection, and presence.

So we built something intentionally different.

A space where conversations slow down.
Where people reconnect.
Where birthdays feel meaningful again.
Where couples actually pause long enough to enjoy each other’s company.
Where families celebrate without feeling rushed out of the door.

What started as fear of rejection became the very thing people now love most.

The privacy.
The calm.
The intimacy.
The personalised experience.
The feeling of being completely looked after.

There are many places to eat.
But there are very few places that make you feel something.
