National walking month is an annual campaign held throughout each May in the UK 👣

The initiative encourages individuals, communities and organisations to participate in walking challenges, organise group walks and raise awareness about the health benefits of regular walking. It is a simple and free form of exercise and transport that helps people improve fitness, explore outdoors and connect with other in a healthy, enjoyable way.

Walking offers numerous physical and mental health benefits such as strengthening the heart, lowers cholesterol, helps to maintain a healthy weight, reduces the risk of chronic diseases, enhances bone strength and stamina.

Cath's biking adventures - Scotland 🚲

Cath spent a couple of days near Balmoral which was beautiful and the tracks were brilliant and very well looked. They saw a bothy which must be an experience to sleep in. It had a strong smell of smoke from the fire. Then they had a meal in the Fife Arms which was an amazing place, many famous works of art hung around the walls, well worth a visit.

Then they moved to above Aviemore and slept next to the loch, the tracks seemed in the middle of nowhere with sheep dotted about. They had a day driving over to Skye realising it doesn't really have tracks and the roads are too tight to cycle as well as the tourist traffic but it is a beautiful barren place. They saw gannets there.
After leaving Skye and they dropped down to the Laggan dam for the night, seeing a Sea Eagle enroute in the distance and couldn't go down the Skyfall road area because a film crew was there doing a new Highlander and then rode up on the Old Military Road which was really MTB terrain but it was fun. They also went to Fort William and had 2 great days there, there are plenty of tracks which were hard for Cath but good practice. Their final days were at Aberfoyle which is perfect for gravel bikes.

They both loved the holiday, the views were amazing and impossible to show at their best in pictures. They have said they will definitely go back.

Suffering from stubborn Verruca or fungal nail infection? We are a certified Swift provider.

Swift is a treatment with a difference. Unlike other treatments, Swift uses microwave energy, which is delivered through a special probe applied to the skin, to treat the affected tissue. As Swift does not break the surface of the skin, there is no need for bandages or dressing, leaving you to carry on your day as normal.

We are delighted to be able to offer our patients this incredible treatment. If you are struggling with a verruca or fungal nail infection, get in touch with our team and book your Swift appointment now.
