Hi everyone, I hope you’re ok.

I’m very excited, as we’re flying to Jamaica today!

I used to joke that Shaun was half Jamaican, as he’s so laid back, but he’s spent so much time in India the last few months, that he’s in danger of becoming a Bangalore citizen!

He’s been spending so much time working away, that he decided we needed a proper relaxing holiday, and we’ve been married 15 years this year, so he decided to book Jamaica, as it’s where we went on our honeymoon.

Before we go, I thought I’d better just tell you about a couple of Tropic updates, as I’ve been a bit slack lately.

Sadly, our holiday just happens to coincide with the biggest event of the year in the Tropic calendar, which is the Glammies, on 12th September. This is where all the ambassadors get together for a bit of a celebration. There’s an awards ceremony, dinner and an evening event, but more importantly, it’s the launch of some brand new products as well as our festive collections.

I thought I’d just let you know about a couple of exciting products in advance. One of them is our brand new SKIN DREAM ADVANCED, which will be launching on 14th September, and secondly is this year’s Advent Calendar. Anyone who knows me will know that I love to play games and tonight we’re off to Bedford with my fabulous sister-in-law and her lovely husband Neal, for a murder mystery evening with Murder 57 - UK Overnight Mystery Events

We’ve been to quite a few of these over the years. I very rarely guess who the murderer is, but they’re still great fun!

They’re now got a great new app, which means that we get all the clues and the ‘Police Inspector’s’ evidence direct to our phones.

Tonight’s event is The Toy Boy. It’s the wedding of Mary Langford, who has apparently been widowed twice. Already suspicious if you ask me!

She’s now getting married for a third time, despite already being rich from the fortune of her second husband. And to a man who is young enough to be her son….

Let’s see what happens!!

But first the obligatory pre-dinner drinks. Cheers and happy Friyay!!

Shaun's been away in India with work for 3 weeks, but he finally got home on Thursday.
We now get to spend some quality time together, as we're doing a Baltic cruise, which I think is the best place to be at the moment, due to the temperatures.
We landed safely in Helsinki yesterday, and I’m pleased to report that it’s only about 26° here, which is lovely!
Apparently, Helsinki is best known for its thriving sauna culture, but it’s also known for its architecture, including the Helsinki Cathedral, in Senate Square.
It was built between 1830 and 1852 when Finland was still under Russian rule, and was originally called St Nicholas’ Church, in honour of the Russian Tsar, Nicholas I.
There’s also the impressive Temppeliaukio Church, which is built directly into solid rock - hence its nickname the Rock Church.
The interior walls are still the original rugged rock, and it has a huge copper dome roof, which is surrounded by a row of tall, thin skylight windows. Apparently they hold a lot of concerts there, as it has amazing acoustics.
