Milton Ernest Hall Care Home Part of the Imperial Care Group of care homes. The home provides personal and nursing care on a long term, convalescent and short stay basis.

Milton Ernest Hall was built in 1856 and is the only country house designed and built by the noted architect Sir William Butterfield. An impressive Grade I Listed former Home to the Starey family, it is now beautifully refurbished to retain its character. As well as many years as a private residence, the house has been a base for US Armed forces during World War II and a country house hotel. The H

all stands in sixteen acres of landscaped grounds within the picturesque village of Milton Ernest, five miles north of Bedford, eight miles from Rushden and about an hour from London. Despite its village setting, Milton Ernest Hall is accessible, with convenient access to the A6 trunk road with public transport links. Extremely spacious en-suite bedrooms, suites and companion room, all fully furnished and tastefully decorated to a high standard. All rooms have private direct-dial telephones, electric profiling beds, television points, a lockable facility for valuables, a nurse call alarm and smoke detectors. Twenty-four hour cover is provided by a qualified, experienced and committed care team specifically recruited for their sensitivity, dedication and professional expertise in this area of care. All specialist equipment is available. All Majesticare’s homes put residents’ choices first, and at Milton Ernest Hall you are free to eat your meals in dining rooms or in your own room. Happy to provide meals for visitors as well for a nominal charge. Fresh home-cooked food is nutritionally balanced and caters for special requirements such as vegetarian or soft foods.

🌿 A Wonderful Trip to Grafham Water 🌊
We thoroughly enjoyed a lovely trip to Grafham Water, taking in the beautiful scenery and enjoying some peaceful time beside the water. ☀️🌳
We were warmly welcomed at the café, where the lovely team really looked after us. We enjoyed refreshing cups of tea and coffee before heading outside for a picnic by the water. 🧺☕❤️
With beautiful views stretching across the water, we watched the birds flying overhead and simply enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. 🦆🕊️
Even the journey there and back was part of the adventure, with scenic views as we travelled through the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside. 🌾🌳🚌
A wonderful outing filled with good food, great company and beautiful views — we’re already looking forward to our next adventure! 💕

🐐 A Giddy Goat Morning! ☕🍰
We had a lovely morning visiting Giddy Goat Community Cafe. Although the weather was a little wet, it didn’t dampen our spirits! 🌧️😊
We enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and coffee, along with some delicious cake — the perfect way to spend a morning. ☕🍰
We were hoping to meet the goats, but they proved to be rather elusive! 🐐 We think they were sensibly hiding from the rain, although we were lucky enough to see a very beautiful pot-bellied pig instead! 🐷❤️
A big thank you to the lovely cafe team, who were so welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be visiting again — hopefully next time the goats will come out to say hello! 🐐😉

🇮🇹 A Little Taste of Italy at Milton Ernest! 🍕❤️
We had a delicious afternoon taking our taste buds on a little trip to Italy! 🇮🇹 Our tasting table was filled with pizza, olives, mortadella, garlic bread and salami — and it certainly went down a storm! 😋
After sampling everything, the votes were in… mortadella, pizza and garlic bread came out on top! 🍕🥖
We love our tasting afternoons as part of our activities, discovering new flavours, sharing memories and, of course, enjoying plenty of conversation along the way.

🍽️🌿 A Lovely Lunch at The Bedford Arms! 🌿🍽️
We had such a lovely visit to The Bedford Arms in Oakley, where delicious food, great service and plenty of wonderful conversation made for a very enjoyable outing.
A tasty traditional meal of liver and bacon, followed by a delicious fruit pudding, was enjoyed alongside a refreshing cool drink. 😊
With the sunshine out, the conservatory was the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy the beautiful view. We watched the leaves just beginning to change colour — a gentle reminder that autumn is on its way. 🍂☀️

Bank Holiday Afternoon Tea Milton Ernest Hall Care Home !

What better way to enjoy the Bank Holiday than with a lovely Afternoon Tea filled with delicious treats, wonderful music and plenty of laughter!

Our residents had a fabulous afternoon tucking into freshly served scones with cream and jam, alongside a selection of delicious treats.

The atmosphere was made even more special as we enjoyed the timeless music of the wonderful Nat King Cole, creating the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon of reminiscing, singing along and sharing stories.

There was plenty of fun, laughter and good company, reminding us that sometimes the simplest moments make the most memorable afternoons.

A truly lovely way to celebrate the Bank Holiday together! 🌸☕️🎶

🎉🎂 HAPPY 88TH BIRTHDAY, DERRICK! 🎂🎉

Today, everyone at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home would like to wish our wonderful Derrick a very happy 88th birthday!

What a lovely afternoon it was, filled with smiles, laughter, good conversation and, most importantly, friendship. It was a truly special day and one that we will remember for a long time.

What made Derrick’s birthday even more memorable was seeing the three Odell friends come together once again to celebrate this wonderful milestone. There is something so special about old friendships the shared memories, the stories, the laughter and the bond that continues through the years.

Moments like these remind us just how precious friendship and companionship are, and we were delighted to be able to share such a special occasion with Derrick.

Pottery Fun with Amanda Milton Ernest Hall Care Home

Yesterday we had such a lovely and creative time during our pottery session with the wonderful Amanda! Everyone enjoyed getting their hands stuck in, shaping and moulding the clay and seeing their ideas come to life.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and a wonderful sense of achievement as we created our very own pottery pieces. It was a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon filled with creativity, conversation and lots of fun!
A big thank you to Amanda for guiding us and making the session so enjoyable. We can’t wait to see our finished creations!

A Lovely Day Out at Stoke Bruerne!

We had such a wonderful time on our visit to Stoke Bruerne! We enjoyed touring the museum and browsing the charming shops, before taking in the beautiful canal and watching the boats gently pass by. There was plenty of people-watching too, which gave us lots to chat and laugh about!

Afterwards, we settled down for a lovely picnic together, enjoying good food and even better company. We then took a leisurely stroll before finishing our afternoon with a lovely drink by the pub.

A beautiful day filled with fresh air, friendship, conversation and plenty of happy memories. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure!

🌿☀️ A Beautiful Day at the Swiss Garden 🌸
A wonderful outing to the beautiful Swiss Garden next to the Shuttleworth Collection! We were treated to glorious sunshine as we enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the stunning scenery. 🌳🌺
The pond was a real highlight, filled with hungry carp, lily pads and beautiful water lilies. 🐟🌸 Geoff and Helen enjoyed their packed lunch in the peaceful shade beneath a magnificent tree — the perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings. 🥪🌳
The Swiss Garden is famous for its meandering pathways, charming grottos and fascinating sculptures, making it a wonderful place to explore and enjoy nature. 💚
A truly lovely day filled with sunshine, beautiful scenery and plenty of special moments to remember! 🌞✨

From stunning classic cars from Bedfordshire Classic Car Meet to adorable four-legged friends, live music from Aimi P, laughter and lots of happy memories, our Family Picnic was truly one to remember.
