So as we know, absolutely EVERYTHING seems to be going up in price…. Bills, shopping, food absolutely everything! We’re all spending a fortune just to survive and keep ourselves going 😩
BUT NOT HERE! 💃
Right now I don’t feel like I’m in a position where I have to up my prices and hopefully won’t for a good while. 😁
I’m working hard to make sure it is as affordable as possible to come get your tattoo therapy while making a living for myself and pay my own bills. (Which I pay by myself)
I absolutely love being able to have regular clients that are here at least once a month and let’s face it, you guys are my bread and butter! Being that little bit cheaper (I think) allows for regular clients and that’s why I have no plans to be increasing any prices. So I will continue to be £60 an hour for the foreseeable 💃
It also comes down to personal goals, I want to see a massive improvement in my artistic skills before I ever consider having to put prices up!
With this being said, a while back I said I would no longer be able to do smaller tattoos for a cheaper price (£40) and here’s why: this is how much it would cost me to buy in all the stock needed for a single set up using one cartridge (needle). Obviously since setting up my business almost 4 years ago, I don’t buy all of this in at once now. Some things run out quicker than others so it’s more staggered now but a stock order usually costs me around £80 if not more 😬 I’m not a big studio either, I’m one person trying to live the dream, this is my circus and these are monkeys 🤣🤣
Most things I have to buy in packs so I sat and broke it down to figure out exactly how much one set up using a single cartridge would cost me. So for example a small line work tattoo would cost me just over £30 to do. So when people say “it’s just a small tattoo” or “£60 for a small tattoo?” Just keep in mind of how much it actually costs me to do the tattoo and like I say, I have bills to pay. I haven’t included the cost of business insurances, electric I use or studio rent either.
This is why it is so frustrating when I get a no show or someone cancelling an hour before their appointment too. Not only is it £30 straight down the drain but a chance some one else could have had to get in the chair 🤷♀️ so that’s why I’m a little harsh on no shows and anyone who takes the mick a bit too much 😅
Anyway, let’s end on a positive note: it’s not going to cost you any extra for some tattoo therapy 🥳🥳
Thank you to everyone who has kept me super busy this year so far! Much love and appreciation 🫶🏻🖤
