❤️ JUST WOW… WHAT A DAY. ❤️
I’m not really sure where to start with yesterday.
There were moments when I looked around the gym and felt so incredibly proud of what we had created for Angie… and then moments when it hit me all over again that she should have been there with us.
I kept expecting to see her walk through that door, hear that unmistakable voice, that laugh, or one of her comments that would have us all in stitches.
That’s the hardest part.
When we lost Angie Mavin, I didn’t just lose a member of our gym. I lost someone who had become such a huge part of my life and such a massive part of our Paramount family.
Angie was larger than life. She brought an energy into the gym that you simply can’t replace, and yesterday you could feel just how loved — and how missed — she truly is.
There were tears, of course there were… but there was also so much laughter, love and noise.
And I know Angie would have absolutely loved it.
So we did exactly what she would have wanted us to do…
We partied. We laughed. We came together. And we spun our little legs off on those bikes! 🚴♀️❤️
Every song played yesterday was chosen for you, Angie.
Every person who walked through our doors and supported us was there for you.
Every raffle ticket bought, every challenge completed and every donation made was for you and your chosen charity, The People’s Kitchen. ❤️
I honestly cannot thank everyone enough for the love, generosity and support you have shown — not just yesterday, but throughout the weeks leading up to Angie’s Memorial Day.
A very special thank you to Angie’s beautiful family for being there and supporting us. It meant so much to have you with us. ❤️
And a few very special shout-outs…
🍰 Rachel from Millie’s Sweet Treats — for helping me for weeks, wrapping prizes, sorting raffles and tombolas and helping with absolutely everything. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.
🚴 Chloe Priest- for coming out of spin retirement
🎈 Sam from Robyn’s Rainbows — for the absolutely amazing Angie balloon. It was perfect.
💃 Studio 22 for the amazing Mama Mia performance
🎧 Dan Lawrence DJ — who messaged me at 7:30am on Saturday morning to say he could come along and DJ for us. 🙏 Thank you!
And finally… THANK YOU TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU.
Everyone who took part.
Everyone who donated.
Everyone who bought raffle tickets.
Everyone who helped.
Everyone who simply turned up to support us.
Together, we have already raised OVER £2,000 for The People’s Kitchen — and we still have more money to come in! ❤️
What an incredible achievement and what an incredible tribute to one very special lady.
Yesterday was for you, Angie.
I hope we did you proud. ❤️
Your Paramount family will never forget you.
