While most cancer rates are decreasing, cases of endometrial cancer (also known as uterine or womb cancer) are actually rising. ๐Ÿ“ˆ It is also being diagnosed in younger women than before. Despite these facts, knowledge about endometrial cancer is not high in the general population.

๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ This June, letโ€™s help change that!

๐Ÿงก Letโ€™s encourage everyone you know to show their bodies and their communities some love by learning about endometrial cancer.
๐Ÿงก Letโ€™s remind everyone that June is a great month to book that next medical appointment & discuss their health and cancer risk with their doctor!
๐Ÿงก Letโ€™s take care of our communities!

๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽŠLetโ€™s celebrate and thank the wonderful volunteers from Look Good Feel Better UK who generously give their time to support our service at the Belfast Trust Cancer Support Centre ๐Ÿ’™

These fantastic volunteers help patients manage the visible and emotional side effects of cancer treatment through practical workshops, covering skincare, makeup and grooming techniques โ€” all aimed at boosting confidence and self-esteem.

Free workshops run fortnightly in the centre. To book your place, visit: https://lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk/workshops/

๐Ÿ”ถ SPOTTING THE SIGNS OF WOMB CANCER ๐Ÿ”ถ
June is Womb Cancer Awareness Month. Womb (endometrial) cancer is the most common gynaecological cancer โ€” and early detection makes a real difference.

โš ๏ธ Key symptom:
โ€ข Unexpected bleeding
โ€ข Bleeding after menopause (even once)
โ€ข Bleeding between periods
โ€ข Heavier or longer periods
โ€ข New bleeding on HRT

๐Ÿ‘‰ Always get any post-menopausal bleeding checked.

๐Ÿ” Other symptoms
โ€ข Pelvic pain or discomfort
โ€ข Pain during s*x
โ€ข Unusual discharge (watery, pink, or with smell)
โ€ข Lump/swelling in lower abdomen
โ€ข Unexplained weight loss or fatigue
These may not be cancer โ€” but itโ€™s important to check.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Trust your instincts
Youโ€™re never wasting anyoneโ€™s time. If something isnโ€™t right, speak to your GP.
