As the world mourns the passing of Dolly Parton, it is important to remember things about Dolly and her life. Growing up one of twelve children they and both parents grew up in one room. She worked and through grit determination and made a great life for her and her family. Instead of hoarding the money she shared it making education a priority as her father couldn't read or write. It is said she would have been a billionaire if she had not given most of her money away.
Of course there was always that sunny personality if she ever had a bad day, no one would've known it. The thing that sticks with me is when the cast of Steel Magnolias was on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Julia Roberts was explaining how 'it was so hot while shooting and they were all complaining about the heat' and they all said "come on Dolly surely you agree it's too hot?
Dolly replied "I wanted and waited all my life to get a job like this now that I have got it I'm not going to complain."
Julia Roberts continued "right away we all shut up and never complained again."
For such a small person Dolly really made a huge impact in everything she turned her focus to an icon has gone. R.I.P. Dolly
