Piercing guns are never recommended - I always pierce with either sterilised single use cannula needles or needle blades (2nd and 3rd down). This gif shows the pressure required to force a blunt piece of metal through skin and as it doesn’t cut its way through like a needle would, the chance of complications from trauma are much higher. Please help others this Christmas and through the year who you hear are going to get pierced in an unregulated environment with an unsanitary piercing gun and advise them that a proper piercer isn’t any more expensive and the piercing will be less painful and last longer.

Aimée’s tongue piercing done by me a few weeks ago. Today we swapped out the original large titanium barbell put in place to allow for swelling for a 16mm purple bioflex barbell. I always use sterile hypoallergenic materials and this will be a great look for the summer.
