When I first started in permanent makeup, I don’t think people spoke enough about the fear side of it.

Everyone talks about the income.
Everyone talks about the transformations.
Everyone talks about the ‘dream beauty business’.

But not enough people talk about what goes through your head before you invest.

What if I’m not good enough?
What if I mess up?
What if I don’t get clients?
What if I choose the wrong trainer?
What if I spend all that money and regret it?

After 11 years in this industry, and now teaching PMU as well, I know these fears are normal.

You’re employee of the month..every month!
You’re the calendar. You’re the inventory. You’re the reason the doors open at all.

Growth, in most beauty businesses, just means more chairs, introducing more treatments and working more hours. Not more freedom. Not more room.
