🗣️ Just a little reminder for anyone on a weight loss or healthy lifestyle journey...
Some people who’ve given up on their goals, jumped off the wagon, set it on fire, and are now roasting marshmallows on it might suddenly become VERY interested in what’s on your plate. 🍟🔥
You'll probably hear stuff like:
"Live a little!" (As if eating healthily = death)
"You don't need to lose weight, you look fine!" (which translates as - Please stop reminding me that I gave up)
"Let’s just skip the gym and get cocktails!" 🍸👀
"One slice won’t hurt!" 🍕
"You’re no fun anymore!" 😅
"I tried all that, it didn’t work for me either." 🙄
Here’s what's REALLY happening...
Sometimes, people try to nudge you off track because they feel better when you’re also off track. And I get it....we all hit rough patches. But just because someone else parked the bus doesn’t mean YOU need to get off at their stop. 🚫🚌
And if they were truly a friend they wouldn't ask you to 🥰
Because you’ve still got goals. You’ve still got your WHY. And you’re not giving that up for Mabel’s leftover cheesecake and emotional sabotage. 🚫🍰
Stick with it. You’re not boring — you’re focused. You’re not missing out — you’re levelling up. And hey, you can always have a treat on your terms. Nothing is banned!
Keep going. Your future self is cheering loudly (and probably wearing jeans that finally fit) and your progress might just inspire others to get back on track too (because deep down they know what they really want)— and if not, that’s okay.
