JOB SUMMARY:

The Information Governance Manager will fulfil the role of Data Protection Officer for a number of BSO customers and will facilitate compliance of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act (2018). As Data Protection Officer, the post holder will have direct access to give advice to senior management regarding personal data processing.

He/she will provide expert Information Governance & Data Protection advice and guidance to Executive Leadership Teams, Arm’s Length Body Boards, Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) and Information Asset Owners (IAO’s) as well as Personal Data Guardians in the discharge of their duties.

The Information Governance Officer will be responsible for provide for providing subject matter expert advice to customers on the development, implementation and monitoring of the Information Governance Framework. This will include directing the development, implementation, monitoring and review of strategies, policies and procedures to support good Information Governance and Information Risk Management.

He/she will also be responsible for day to day managing the Information Governance function within the BSO including the delivery of a range of staff training programmes in support of the Information Governance agenda.

The post holder will develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels internal and external to achieve organisational objectives.

Who are we?

The primary function of the Children’s Court Guardian Agency for Northern Ireland is to provide Children’s Court Guardians who are appointed by the Court to safeguard the interests of children and young people in specified public law and adoption proceedings within the Family Courts in NI.

Why we need you?

You will work as a member of the Operational Leadership Team (OLT) having responsibility for the operational
delivery of the Guardian service in line with regulations, including the provision of professional social work
supervision, monitoring and reporting on Children’s Court Guardian performance in line with the Agency’s
professional standards.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring better outcomes for children through the work of the Children’s Court Guardians; this will be achieved by providing supervision and facilitating peer group supervision to all Guardians, management of unallocated cases and allocation of cases, leading projects, managing budgets to support service improvement, oversee professional performance management and line management responsibility for a team of Guardians.

Engage in regional forums and work collaboratively with key stakeholders. He/ she will provide an expert practice perspective to assist other practitioners and managerial staff in the discharge of CCGANI’s statutory duties. He/ she will be a resilient, adaptable and motivated practitioner with highly developed organisational, leadership and management skills.

Business Services Organisation (BSO) are looking for exceptional graduates who aspire to become a Solicitor in a fast paced and challenging environment with a drive to deliver an excellent and high-quality service to Health and Social Care NI (HSCNI) in line with the HSC values.

To be eligible to apply for this scheme candidates must (by the closing date for applications):

1. Be in receipt of an offer of a place on the Institute of Professional Legal Studies Solicitor trainee programme commencing September 2026, conditional only on a degree classification. Please note that candidates placed on the waitlist will not be shortlisted.
2. Be prepared to travel throughout Northern Ireland and hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. (This criterion will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post)

Candidates must attach to their application form a copy of their letter of offer or letter of conditional offer.

You will be an expert in Social Care Governance, supporting the Agency’s adherence to the Social Care Governance framework and audit activity and will encourage a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

JOB SUMMARY

The Estates & Facilities Manager will be responsible through the Assistant Director for ensuring that the BSO estate and its facilities reflects an environment that is conducive to the delivery of the critical HSC functions provided by the BSO. He/she will be responsible for contributing to and implementing BSO Estates strategies and policies, in support of the development of BSO services.

The Estates & Facilities Manager will have responsibility for providing safe and effective management of the regional BSO Estate and Facilities. The Estates & Facilities Manager will work as part of the Corporate Services team to ensure that the needs of staff, clients and service users are at the core of the way the BSO delivers services and that capital and financial resources are effectively deployed to meet these needs.
The Estates & Facilities Manager will be responsible for the provision of all services appropriate to the management of the BSO’s estate.

The Estates & Facilities Manager will work to ensure that the BSO meets its relevant legislative and statutory requirements and ensure that the estates & facility management services are cost effective and provided within agreed financial targets.

The Estates & Facilities Manager shall manage capital and revenue projects allocated by senior management and be responsible for their successful delivery on time, within budget and to the appropriate standard of all such projects.

The Estates & Facilities Manager will oversee all works provided via existing estates contracts to ensure we achieve value for money.

He/she will work to achieve objectives required within the performance management framework for the BSO.

Today is World Blood Donor Day, and Business Services Organisation would like to highlight the continuous need for safe blood and blood products.

BSO’s Blood Production and Tracking ( ) Project is leading the way by transforming the Northern Ireland’s blood transfusion service system and introducing a regional blood tracking system.
With the project rollout starting in September this year, Northern Ireland will, on completion, have a fully functioning regional electronic ‘vein-to-vein’ donor management, blood production, and tracking system.
