Recycle Week Takeover Incoming! ♻️🚨

Next week, from 14 - 20 September, our social media channels will be dedicated to Recycle Week 2026!

Throughout the week we'll be diving into a different aspect of this year's theme,"Rescue Me", championing recyclable items that deserve a second life and sharing practical recycling tips along the way.

We'll also be shining a spotlight on how USEL contributes to a greener, more sustainable future through the work we do every day.

Get ready for facts, tips, and plenty of recycling inspiration! 🌱

The Workable NI programme provides practical support to help employees with disabilities stay in employment, while our wider services offer opportunities for skills development, employability support, and inclusion. We look forward to meeting reps and members and discussing how we can work together to create more inclusive workplaces across Northern Ireland! 🙌

NIPSA is pleased to be working with Usel. to offer a series of online information and awareness sessions for reps and members. These sessions will explain the Workable NI programme and the range of support available for employees with disabilities who face barriers in the workplace.

Usel will also provide information on other programmes including:

We were proud to officially launch our Skills for Life and Work Programme yesterday in Armagh, creating new opportunities for young people to develop skills, build confidence and explore pathways into employment.

The evening brought together local leaders, partners, learners and the USEL team to discuss the importance of providing young people with the right support, skills and opportunities to succeed.

Hearing from current learners and showcasing a film created by Skills for Life and Work students highlighted the real impact of the programme and reinforced why this provision is so important for young people in our communities.

A huge thank you to our speakers, learners and everyone who attended. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this programme will have across the Armagh area and are excited to get it up and running!

After 49 years of service, we would like to say a big thank you and a sad goodbye to an amazing individual, Brian. 👏

Brian started at USEL on the 8th of June 1977 in our previous Lawnbrook Avenue site. It was there Brian met his wife Evelyn and they married in 1982.

Yesterday Brian officialy retired from USEL on 31st August 2026 after many years of service as a General Operative in Manufacturing.

We all wish Brian the very best on his future endeavours. 🙌🎉
