In April, I opened Maiden Voyage at Trademarket. My “moving in day” was succeeded by the announcement of Trademarket’s uncertain future in its current location - the very following day!
It was a shock to me, a shock to Trademarket, a shock to the city of Belfast and its wonderful people. The troops had rallied their hardest, petitions were signed, meetings were held… but in the end, the big boys with the big bucks always win.
I knew even before joining Trademarket, that the time here would be limited. It was a leap I wanted to take anyway, as what’s more fitting than a business called Maiden Voyage operating out of a shipping container!

For now, my business premises may be on pause but Maiden Voyage has future plans in the works. In the meantime, I am still tattooing and I’m going to enjoy a little freedom! I have a few guest spots lined up in the local area to hang out and work alongside some of my favourite artists and pals in the city, this means all of my clients will be able to still have their booked appointments go ahead!
I will contact everyone affected by the changes ASAP, personally via email - so hang tight for now.
