☕️Our latest Renal Chat at Knock Golf Club was a lovely occasion. We were treated to warm hospitality, enjoyed plenty of good conversation, and, as always, there was no shortage of humour and laughter. It’s these moments of connection that make our Renal Chat community so valuable. Thank you to all who joined the gathering. To those who weren’t able to make it this time we will be in touch with the next date.

When the sun makes its return—and we’re confident it will—don’t forget your NIKPA hat! ☀️🧢

We’re delighted to add this new style to our growing range of NIKPA headwear, alongside our popular caps for the warmer months and cosy beanies for winter.

Following advice from renal unit staff, NIKPA selected this design to provide extra protection for renal patients when spending time outdoors. The wide brim helps shade the face and offers additional coverage for the ears, making it a practical and comfortable choice for sunny days.

This latest addition is now on display and available to purchase at the Ulster Hospital Renal Unit and we will distribute over the coming months to all renal units.

Whether you’re looking for protection from the summer sun or warmth during the colder months, there’s now a NIKPA hat for every season!

Every purchase helps support NIKPA’s work in raising awareness of kidney disease, transplantation, and the importance of organ donation.

NIKPA had a fantastic evening on Friday as guests of the Temple Line Dancing Group at their annual dinner in Temple Golf Club.

A huge thank you to the Jamison family for choosing NIKPA as the event’s nominated charity. Your support means so much to us and helps us continue raising awareness of the importance of organ donation.

The evening was filled with friendship, laughter, and fundraising. While one of our NIKPA members may not have quite matched the expertise of the seasoned line dancers—missing a few steps, mistiming the occasional grapevine, and sending the odd kick in the wrong direction—the warm welcome, patience, and good humour of everyone present made it a night to remember!

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the event, and helped promote the life-saving message of organ donation. We are truly grateful for your kindness and generosity.

More fabulous videos from our day at the Ballymena show!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a country show without the animals!

From prize-winning livestock to much-loved family favourites, they brought plenty of character, charm, and smiles to Ballymena Show. Whether they were stealing the spotlight in the show rings or attracting attention from visitors young and old, they were a big part of what made the day so special.

As well as raising awareness of organ donation and connecting with the local community, it was lovely to take time to enjoy all the sights and attractions that make Ballymena Show such a fantastic event each year.

Here are a few more of our favourite moments from the day!

💙🦋 A little late in posting, but we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without sharing some highlights from our fantastic day at Ballymena Show last week!

We had the privilege of meeting so many people throughout the day and sharing information about the benefits and importance of organ donation.

It was especially meaningful to speak with individuals and families who have personal connections to renal disease. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their experiences with us. Hearing your stories is a powerful reminder of why our work matters.

We were also delighted to meet some of NIKPA’s long-standing supporters and to thank them in person for their continued encouragement, generousity, and commitment to our charity.

Days like these highlight the impact that renal disease can have on individuals, families, and communities, while also demonstrating the strength of support that exists across Northern Ireland.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to chat, ask questions, share their stories, and support our work.👏👏👏

We’re delighted to share some photos and videos from the day and hope you’ll enjoy looking back on a wonderful community event with us.
