Cupcake Came to Visit Us! 🐴❤️

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a very special visitor to Belper Views – the beautiful Cupcake the pony!

From the moment Cupcake arrived, smiles spread across the home and our residents' faces lit up with excitement and delight. There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day as residents gathered to meet, stroke, and spend time with this gentle and affectionate pony.

Animal visits always bring so much joy, and Cupcake was no exception. Her calm nature and friendly personality created many heartwarming moments, sparked conversations, and brought back cherished memories of past pets and countryside adventures. It was truly lovely to see the happiness and engagement she inspired among our residents.

The visit provided not only entertainment but also comfort, companionship, and a unique opportunity for meaningful interaction. Many residents enjoyed spending time with Cupcake, sharing stories, taking photographs, and simply enjoying her presence.

A huge thank you to Cupcake and her wonderful handlers for taking the time to visit us and make our day so special. We are already looking forward to seeing her again in the future!

Mini Zoo Day! 🐍🐰🦎

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the mobile mini zoo into our home, and what a wonderful morning it was! From snakes and bearded dragons to fluffy bunnies and many more fascinating animals, there were smiles, laughter and excitement all around.

Our residents truly cherished the experience, and we think their faces say it all! Many enjoyed the opportunity to gently stroke, hold and learn about the animals, bringing back fond memories of beloved pets and special moments from years gone by. It was lovely to see so many conversations sparked throughout the day, with residents sharing stories, laughing together and enjoying something a little different.

Animal therapy and interactive experiences like these can have such a positive impact within care homes. Spending time with animals is known to help reduce anxiety and loneliness, encourage communication and social interaction, and bring comfort and happiness to so many people. The joy and calmness the animals brought into the home was truly heartwarming to witness.

A huge thank you to the mobile mini zoo for creating such a special experience for our residents and staff alike. We cannot wait to welcome you back again soon! 💛

A New Best Friend at Belper Views! 🐾

We have a very special new face joining our family!

Meet Moose, the gorgeous new puppy belonging to our senior, Mollie.

Moose spent his first day exploring every nook and cranny of the gardens and, more importantly, making sure everyone got their fair share of puppy cuddles. It’s no secret that animals have a magical way of brightening a room, and seeing the pure joy on our residents' faces today reminded us exactly why "animal therapy" is so vital.

Moose will be spending plenty of time here with us at Belper Views, so be sure to keep an eye out for him on your next visit. He's always ready for a wagging tail and a friendly pat!

🌼What Have We Been Up To Lately?🌼

It’s been a joyful and activity-filled time here, with plenty of smiles along the way!
We were delighted to welcome a lovely visit from the Church, sharing peaceful hymns and meaningful prayers together. Moments like these always bring such comfort and togetherness.

Our creative side has been shining through too, with residents enjoying a spot of rock painting—each design as unique and wonderful as the person who made it!

We were also treated to a fantastic performance from Cadillac Beach, who had us all singing, clapping, and dancing along to some great tunes. What a show!

With the sunshine making a welcome appearance, we’ve been soaking up the warmer days and spending quality time outdoors. We’re all ready for more of this lovely weather—and we think Rufus agrees!

And the excitement doesn’t stop there… keep an eye out, as our mini zoo will be visiting very soon. We can’t wait!

Leo the Mini MJ Stole the Show! 🎤✨

What an amazing morning we had yesterday! Leo treated our residents to a truly amazing performance, and from the smiles on everyone’s faces, it’s safe to say he was an absolute hit.

We were so delighted to welcome Leo – his confidence, energy, and talent were incredible. Well done, Leo!

You certainly had us all dancing and singing along. Even Arnold couldn’t resist getting involved… we spotted a few sneaky moonwalks beside Leo! 🕺

Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter to our home – we loved every minute! 💛

Easter Creativity & Feel-Good Moves 🐰💛

We hope you all had a lovely Easter Bank Holiday!

Today we continued our lovely Easter crafts, designing beautiful bunnies that brought smiles all around. Some residents chose to decorate their rooms, while others added a touch of personality by hanging their creations on their walking frames—style and creativity at its best!

We also enjoyed some gentle dancing and chair exercises this morning, keeping active and energised while singing along to some classic old tunes. A wonderful day filled with creativity, movement, and joy!

🌼 Happy Easter from all of us at Belper Views 🌼

We’ve had such a lovely time celebrating Easter together here at Belper Views, filled with laughter, creativity, and special moments shared by our wonderful residents.

In the lead-up to the big day, everyone enjoyed getting involved in a range of activities. From decorating delicious Easter bunny gingerbread (which made for a very tasty treat!) to taking a gentle trip out for a warm and welcoming coffee morning at the church, it’s been a truly meaningful time for all.

Our residents also had lots of fun taking part in games, including a very competitive round of Pin the Tail on the Bunny — a big well done to Peter and Wendy for their winning efforts! 🐰

A huge thank you to our wonderful Activities Co-ordinator, Lisa, for making Easter so special for our residents.

Moments like these are so important to us, creating opportunities for connection, joy, and personal expression. It’s been wonderful to see everyone getting involved in their own way and making the celebrations their own.
