THERAPIST (noun)
A person who knows your childhood trauma, attachment style and relationship history, but still cannot remember why they walked into the kitchen😂
Here I am the woman who can sit with someone else’s pain, listen deeply to their story, recognise patterns, explore attachment wounds and hold space for the most vulnerable parts of another human being…
…only to walk into a room and forget what I went in there for. Or lose a word halfway through a sentence. Or find myself awake at 3 am, wondering why my body has suddenly decided that sleep is optional🥵😅
Being a therapist doesn’t mean I have somehow mastered the art of being human.
I am still learning. Still navigating change. Still discovering what balance means in this season of my life.
I’m learning that balance isn’t a place I finally arrive at. It’s something I keep coming back to, sometimes through movement, sometimes through stillness, and sometimes simply by giving myself permission to be with what is present.
My clients deserve my true presence, not my perfection. 🤍
So here I am: a therapist, a woman in midlife, navigating menopause, learning as I go - and still occasionally walking into the kitchen with absolutely no idea why 😂
Anyone resonate with this ? 🌀
