One of the most common questions I hear is… “What can I eat to support my gut health?”

And I get it.

When your gut isn’t happy, it affects so much more than digestion. It can impact your energy, confidence, mood and how you feel in your own body.

The truth is, there isn’t one perfect “gut health” food.
A healthy gut thrives on variety.

Think:
🥦 Colourful vegetables
🫐 Fibre-rich fruits
🌾 Whole grains
🫘 Beans and legumes
🥜 Nuts and seeds
🥛 Fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, kimchi, or sauerkraut

These foods help nourish the beneficial bacteria that support your digestion and overall wellbeing.

But here’s what many people miss:
Gut health isn’t about being perfect. It’s about making small, consistent choices that support your body over time.

If you’ve been struggling with bloating, digestive discomfort, or feeling confused about what to eat, you’re not alone.

📩 DM the word ‘GUT’ and we’ll automatically arrange a free discovery call to discuss how we can help.

Your skin is trying to tell you something… and it might be your diet.

We spend so much time searching for the perfect skincare products, but sometimes the glow we’re chasing starts from within.

If your skin has been feeling dull, tired, inflamed or just not you lately, it may be worth asking - are you nourishing it as much as you’re treating it?

Think colour here, brightly coloured fruit and vegetables are full of anti-oxidants which will help nourish your skin:

✅ Blueberries, strawberries and raspberries as part of breakfast or a snack

✅ Include tomatoes, spinach, kale, cucumber and celery with lunch

✅ Carrots, sweet potatoes, squash and broccoli with dinner.

✅ Foods containing Omega 3 fats are calming foods and are also important, foods such as oily fish, nuts and seeds.

❌ Avoiding/restrict foods that may inflame the skin and cause irritation and spots, such as foods high in salt, sugar and fats.

💾 Save this for your next food shop & tell us what food makes your skin feel its best?👇🏻

FAQ | How do I prevent my 3pm slump?
3 things you need to concentrate on…

1️⃣ Ensure that all meals and snacks contain some protein as this will help keep you feel fuller for longer. ✅ nuts and seeds with cereal
✅ eggs or smoked salmon with breakfast
✅ yogurt with berries and seeds
✅ apple with cheese for snacks
✅ fish, lean red meat, beans and pulses, chicken, turkey or egg as part of lunches and dinners.

2️⃣ Plan in an afternoon snack before your energy levels starts to drop, such as:
✅ Nuts and seeds with yogurt
✅ Peanut butter on a couple of oatcakes.

3️⃣ Avoid sugary foods such as chocolate on an empty stomach, it may give you an initial high but that will soon be followed by a dip.

⭐️ TOP TIP: If you do have some chocolate have some nuts alongside it to help balance blood sugar levels.

FAQ | What are the different types of fibre and what do they help with?

➡️ Soluble and insoluble.

🥣 Soluble fibre found in oats and chia seeds can help absorb excess water in the bowel and as such can help firm up loose bowels.

🥜 Insoluble fibre moves through the bowel quickly and so can help stimulate bowel movement and help avoid constipation and this can be found in wholegrains, nuts and green vegetables.

So, try to ensure that you have a combination of both types of fibre in the diet.

If you are suffering from any of the above, you may have a food sensitivity.
I can help you identify in clinic through a finger prick blood test if there are foods which may be causing discomfort.
