FATHER'S DAY - have you thought about a voucher for Reiki?

It's probably not the first thing you think of. Infact in our world of stereotyping self-care or holistic therapy tends to be heavily marketed to the female marketplace. Think Mother's Day and relaxation or beauty treatments .

I was contacted in November 2025 by someone wanting to buy a Reiki voucher for their son-in-law who suffered with ongoing migraines. They did purchase said voucher and I, a little cynically, wasn't entirely convinced it would get used.

How wrong I was - and how very happy to be so

James came to me for Reiki in the early part of the year and ended up embarking on a powerful, challenging and ultimately LIFE CHANGING coaching experience.

I recently received his feedback and 'life changing' was his description.

I don't take this lightly - it's a privilege and it's huge.

The reason I am sharing this story is because I don't think James would have ever thought to make the appointment himself. But someone else thinking about him, making the effort to contact me, buy the voucher and ultimately think a bit differently has quite literally changed this person's life for the better.

So before you pop out and buy that cliché gift -whatever it might be. Hold on and think for a minute - perhaps that money could be spent on something that literally changes that person's life instead.

When you find your home🏠🏡🛖⛺️

Having recently moved house I have been giving a lot of thought to how important the environment is for our health and wellbeing. I loved where I lived before but it had definitely stopped nourishing and inspiring me and as someone with a busy brain, full of creativity and a need to feel very comfortable with my people and in my space I knew it was time. And I wasn't wrong - once I got past the stress of the actual move (and noone is lying when they say it is one of the most difficult things someone can do), I realised how different I now feel and how much my mindset has shifted for daily tasks and focus.

And somewhere else I have experienced this is in my working environment - I offer Reiki and Transformational Coaching from the wonderful Naturality in Berkhamsted and from the first day I walked into that space I knew it was right for me.

Again, I wasn't wrong.

And clients feel it too - they enjoy the calmness and tranquility it offers and also, they probably don't even realise it, but they are benefitting from the great energy of a collaborative group of practitioners all doing what they love, supporting each other and working to help others.

For me home isn't just about where you live, it's about how you feel - and I know that my clients have described the containing space I create in my work as comfortable and safe. These things also speak of home. Humans need to feel this in their home, in their work and in their tribe, and I feel lucky enough to be finding this in all areas of my life.

REIKI - it's not WOO WOO

but scientifically backed healing work with papers and studies from hospitals, hospices and other medical settings!

Sometimes I watch the 'twitch' in someone's face when I tell them I do Reiki. I hear the voice in the head that is loud and clear by the expression before me.

I've had people surprised that I do Reiki because 'they didn't think I was that sort of person'. I'm not entirely sure what was meant by that but I can hazard a guess.

And this is where I get a little bit frustrated, not with the individuals but with society. A society that forgets about ancient wisdom, that forgets we are equipped with energetic power greater than we will ever know. That intuition is a genuine thing given to us to keep us safe when we were prey and may not have had the language to communicate. That energy is everything.

Reiki and energetic healing is backed by science, used in hospitals, advocated by medical staff and has been proved time and again to:

🙌 reduce anxiety and stress
🙌 speed healing
🙌 assist in pain control
🙌 assist in end of life care with a peaceful and calm passing
🙌 enhance immune system responses
🙌 reduce medication side effects
🙌 support those with chronic illness and life limiting challenges

I have experienced genuine shifts for myself and watched them in my clients. I've even seen notable changes in my dog from Reiki healing and felt the power of a Reiki share.

So for those who have been a little unsure, perhaps now is the time to give Reiki a go - it's gentle, non invasive and allows a gentle space for the body and mind to relax and realign and one thing it is really not is 'woo woo'.

🙌Reiki and Coaching Spaces Available

I have space for a limited number of coaching clients and a flexible number of Reiki clients in my schedule.

WHERE
I work in-person in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire at 2 beautiful spaces, Naturality Wellness Centre or at the The Hospice of St Francis in their Spring Centre on Wednesdays and Fridays and I can also work online.

WHY I LIMIT MY SESSION OFFERINGS
I don't offer up loads of client spaces for this work as it is intense and powerful and I like to keep my own energy strong for those who are using my skill, expertise and focus. I love this work deeply but it's important that it's right for you and more importantly that I am right for you - both are not always the case - however when it fits it really is like the proverbial hand and glove.

WHO DO I WORK WELL WITH?
I work particularly well with deep thinking individuals often navigating significant transitions in life or work, business owners or entrepreneurs and complex thinkers who needs more than surface level suggestions.

THE DIFFERENT STRINGS THAT MAKE THE MOST POWERFUL BOW
For a long time I've been ashamed and a little embarrassed about my various offerings. "Niche down" has been the constant cry and the reality is - I can't really. I have quite a few offerings and that's what suits my brain.

If I were to have any niche it's that I have a golden thread of working to a depth that is unusual in my various fields of work.

I SEE PATTERNS
I see patterns clearly and have a talent for assisting my clients in unpicking tangled balls of wool that show up as repeating patterns of behaviour, dysfunctional relationships, dysfunctional teams or organisations and so on.

I HELP YOU UNPICK THE TANGLED WOOL
But I don't just see them - I use my many strings to inform the work I do and enable my clients to unpick the tangled wool for themselves. I guide, I support and I use various skills, exercises and phenomenal amounts of expertise and ongoing learning (20 years + in business, Board Level HR, Degrees, Masters Degrees, Post Graduate Degree, Coaching Qualifications, Accreditations in a variety of disciplines and ongoing CPD and mentorship) to work with my clients for an outcome that they are focused on.

I GET RESULTS
And I get results. Recently a client asked me "what sort of wizardry" I was performing. Jokingly but with some reality. And the reason for this is because I see the things that need seeing and I meet my client where they may be at this time and I adapt my work accordingly. I don't use a one size fits all approach.

And I can do all of the above because I have the skills, the training, the expertise and a deep self awareness that is absolutely fundamental for the work that I do (all the different strings).

Finally, when someone asks me what I do, I can say - I help my clients untangle balls of wool. And when they look strangely at me - I can explain that through a variety of ways (see below) I help individuals, couples, teams or organisations work out what is going on that is causing their challenges and put them on the path to improvement.

A couple of weeks ago I was part of a brilliant team at Naturality Wellness in the heart of Berkhamsted for our open day 💫

As a Reiki practitioner and Transformational Coach, I find it can be tricky to put into words what I do. Writing about energy, healing, and transformation doesn't always capture it the way actually *experiencing* it does. So being able to offer taster sessions to people who were curious, open, and ready to explore? That felt like the best possible way to share my work.

I’ve included a pic below of one such session.

The feedback was fabulous, and it was such a joy to spend the day alongside some incredibly talented fellow practitioners all of us sharing our skills, knowledge, and passion with such a warm and engaged group of visitors. You can see in the picture how much the practitioners at Naturality enjoy sharing our space.

Many people commented on the calm, healing vibe of Naturality itself which wasn’t a surprise. That energy comes from the practitioners who work there and, of course, from the wonderful Janie Eastoe who has created and holds this special space.

I feel so lucky to have found Naturality as my Reiki and Coaching home. It is a place I genuinely love offering both coaching and Reiki from with an energy there that feels so beautifully aligned.
