The Northstar Centre Northstar is a day care centre for adults with learning disabilities serving Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The Northstar Centre is a Northumberland County Council managed day service for adults with learning disabilities in Berwick-upon-Tweed and the surrounding area. We offer a wide range of activities designed specifically around our clients' developmental and individual care needs.

How has it been a week since we were busking?

This was such a great show and thanks to everyone that came along to watch. We got very lucky with the weather and made the most of it.

And then, to round off the day, we had a great afternoon at the Cinema. Thanks to everyone at Maltings Berwick for accommodating us and for a very enjoyable showing of Toy Story 5.

Not too long to wait for our next performance. We have been busy rehearsing today as it can't all be cinema trips and spending time in the sun โ˜€๏ธ

Wow!

Thank you for an amazing turn out at today's busking. What an audience! For once, the weather in Berwick was just right and we could have stayed playing for you all for hours. And we think the feeling is mutual. In fact.....

Why don't you all put the 24th of September in your diaries now and come on down to Northern View. More Drumming. Special Guests. A Raffle. And cakes!!!!!!

5 weeks today ๐Ÿ˜ฌ 2 of our staff take on the Great North Run this year. Will it be 3 next year?

Lindsey Thompson and Daniel Flannigan will both be running this year in aid of Berwick's Cancer Cars - The B&DCSG. An important local charity that helps or has helped many people within this community.

Both have been training hard around work and through injury and any support that you can give to either of them will be gratefully received.

We appreciate that not everyone is in a position where they can donate money but words of encouragement will go a long way to both of them.

All of us at Northstar wish them both the best of luck. Fingers crossed the medals are correct this year! ๐ŸŽ–

On the 24th of September, we will be hosting a Northstar Fundraiser. A poster will follow soon with all the details but expect:

- The Shindiggers usual infectious beats ๐Ÿฅ

- A fantastic Raffle! ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ

- A delicious bake sale (Staff are speaking from plenty of experience) by Grazers of Eyemouth ๐Ÿฐ

- And even Special Guests โ“

All money raised will be spent on our Service Users. Whether that be days out and Events or equipment for everyone.

If anyone has any prizes that they are able to donate for our raffle then these will be gratefully received.

Here is a date for your calendars ๐Ÿ“….

Next month, on the 13th of August will be our next drumming performance.

But we think it has been far too hot recently to be stuck inside, so how about a bit of busking!

Please come along and support us as we perform our usual feel good tunes outside the town hall.

After all our clients hard work on various performances and projects, it seemed only right to have a bit of a treat!

A morning of Karaoke and then out for lunch ๐Ÿ. Thank you to the staff at Limoncello Restaurant for accommodating us and giving us faultless service ๐Ÿ•.

And thank you to all of those who have donated at these various performances. It is these kind donations that allow us to have days out like this.

We will be straight back to the grindstone next week as we prepare for a couple of different events over the summer... ๐Ÿ‘€
