Patients not attending appointments (Wooler)

From Monday morning until the end of surgery this morning, we have had 7hrs 30 minutes of wasted appointments by patients not turning up. This is nearly one full day of clinician time wasted.

If you can't make it, let us know so we can offer the appointment to someone else please. Like all surgeries we are very busy and can't afford to waste appointments.

HOME VISITS

Home visits are reserved for patients who are genuinely housebound through mobility or illness in line with NHS guidance. Patients requesting a home visit will be assessed by the GP based on their ability to leave their home environment and their medical needs and, if appropriate, the doctor will carry out a home visit. Home visits however can't be arranged for patients whose only barrier to attending the surgery is transport difficulty or because they are a carer for another household member.
