The Hummingbird Centre A cancer support and therapy centre for those that are affected and living with cancer. Covering Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire.

Our moto is if you are looking for support no matter where you live we will support you. We support you by offering an array activities, workshops, counselling, complimentary treatments but most of all we are here for the entire family. CREATIVE FUN

Its all going on today with creativity in the main building. Being creative is not all about being perfect or having the crafting skills, with the Boss Lady who will be with us today its all about chaos and bespoke. Come and find out about what's going on with stencilling, scrap booking and making your own Bug House - these you will have to make and possibly finish off next Tuesday when she's back in - unless Zoe's locked her in a cupboard by then!! See you all later, lets keep Mechelle on her toes today !

WELLNESS IN ACTION - SATURDAY 20TH JUNE FROM 11.00 AM

We will be showcasing what The Hummingbird Centre offers but also give people a chance to experience wellbeing in action.

You will have the opportunity to meet some of our team and professionals who support our services. You will be able to find out more about our services and see first-hand the positive difference the centre makes to individuals and families across the community.

Whether someone is looking for support, interested in holistic therapies, or simply wants to find out more about what we do, everyone is welcome to come along.

Are you caring, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children and young people? We have a rewarding opportunity for a Children's Assistant to help make a real difference in the lives of children and families affected by cancer.

🕒 Hours: Fridays, 12:00pm – 3:00pm
💷 Pay: £12.71 per hour

As a Children's Assistant, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children and young people can connect with others, build confidence, express themselves, and receive support alongside those with similar experiences.

Your role will include:
💜 Supporting group activities and play sessions
💜 Providing emotional support and encouragement
💜 Assisting with the supervision and wellbeing of children and young people
💜 Working alongside families, staff, and volunteers to deliver meaningful experiences

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a supportive team making a positive impact in the community.
