My ethos is 'mind, body and soul' and I do not believe that things will be in harmony if this is imbalanced. Having worked in care for over 25 years, I have directly noticed the impact of these things. This was one of the main reasons why I have studied alternative therapies an
d treatments, as I do not believe that medication is always the best answer, especially when mental health is involved. The root cause is often unaddressed - this could be from many years ago and been locked away to fester and affect quality of life many years later. Having studied my Level 2 certificate in counselling skills and more recently TQUK Level 2 certificate in self harm and suicide awareness and prevention (RQF), I was particularly interested in where alternative therapies are being used to help calm the mind and help restore balance - this prompted me to do a meditation practitioner course which is a well used treatment, and something that I regularly do. My goal and aim is to help as many people as I can to restore more balance within their lives by utilizing the skills that I hold.
