Will you always like what I have to say?
No. Probably not.
Today a lovely lady came to see me with pain in her foot. She’s had pain for a couple of months and the constant pain and restriction to her training is getting her down. Unfortunately this time there is no quick fix.
I gave a thorough examination, some manual treatment and wrote down some instructions for the next few weeks. They included no netball for at least two weeks. Different sports mean different movements, so the advice for your injury will depend on your lifestyle, but I know how tough it is to take time out of your normal routine. Sometimes I say what you don’t want to hear. But, I’ll never say it unless it’s completely necessary.

I have a degree in sport therapy so the main service I offer is that. Good quality, lots of experience, highly trained sport therapist.
I studied anatomy and physiology at degree level, worked with different professionals including biomechanics experts and physiotherapists and also qualified at the same level as a conditioning coach.
In the years since I completed my degree I have worked in support, including supporting people who have addictions, and young people who have disengaged with education. I have a level three counselling qualification and have completed mental health first aid training as well as being a first aid instructor, and have studied and delivered training in trauma and self harm. I have another degree in teaching, and find that this combination of skills means that people often feel comfortable talking to me about things they are struggling with.

I’ve been thinking about a post like this for a while, but had a message today about whether my treatment can help with someone who is finding life hard right now so thought maybe now is the time.
Touch can be very healing, and this, in combination with a therapist who knows how the muscles work and who is trained to listen, can help you shift your thinking and energy. I can provide stretches and exercises for you to take away, to continue to progress independently.

How can I help you?
If you have an injury I can give you advice on managing the pain and exercises to strengthen the joint or muscle.
If your shoulders are aching from too much time at your computer I can loosen your muscles and restore your movement.
If you’re unsure whether a sport therapist is the right person for you just send me a message and explain the situation. I can either help or will refer you to someone who can.
