This is a gentle reminder that our bodies are meant to keep energy flowing, not stuck or stagnant.

We are meant to carry energy whether we are still or moving.

As a reflexologist, I see and feel this 'energy' every day. The feet hold a map of our inner energy - cleverly showing us where the body is open and flowing, where it's tired and stagnant and where it's ready to release and let go ✨️🙏✨️

Do you feel stagnant and a lack of energy?

Book yourself in for a reflexology treatment to help you feel refreshed, restored and full of new energy to carry you through summer ✨️☀️✨️

I am passionate about reflexology but also movement and building a strong foundation ✨️🙏✨️

Building strong stable adaptable feet will really help you navigate life with more ease and enable you to explore and adventure off the beaten track 👣

Walking barefoot over rocks on the beach really helps strengthen your feet...the muscles, tendons, ligaments and tissue...

Give it a go...your feet will get used to it I promise 😜🙌👍 Start by standing on rocks and testing pressure and balance and stability before trying to walk too far!

Reflexology is definitely one of the most empowering holistic tools I have ever encountered ✨️🙏✨️

The human body is a magnificent machine! Thousands of parts all working together to keep our body functioning at optimum levels.

But unfortunately our bodies are susceptible to lifestyle, diet and medical conditions that throw the body out of sync.

I want to talk about how reflexology can support our hormone balance...

Our hormones can be out of balance for many reasons and at different points throughout our lives.

During a reflexology session I focus on the endocrine and nervous system when helping my clients support their hormones. I particularly focus on glands, such as the pituitary, thyroid, adrenals and ovaries and then the solar plexus, brain/head and spinal cord (nervous system).

Stress is, without doubt, the biggest culprit when it comes to messing with our hormones, and indeed most of the systems within our body. Remember stress is not all negative! Stress helps us achieve/perform and experience. But our body is only able to cope with this kind of short term stress.

Stress causes cortisol levels to increase in the body and this messes with our hormone receptors that are supposed to be busy responding to the other hormones we need for our bodies to remain in balance and harmony...

So how can reflexology help reduce stress and support hormonal equilibrium?

By calming the nervous system, reflexology lowers cortisol levels. Because cortisol can disrupt the entire endocrine system, keeping it in check allows your natural hormones to stay in a healthy rhythm.

Reflexology can trigger the release of beneficial "feel-good" hormones, such as oxytocin and endorphins, promoting deep physical and emotional relaxation.

Reflexology, alongside small lifestyle changes, supports the body to return to homeostasis, by providing deep relaxation and a place to be quiet and reflective. The stress begins to melt away, and you begin to feel more in control of your own live, thoughts, and feelings, you start to sleep better, and hormones begin to rebalance ✨️🙌✨️

The Lymphatic System ~ one of my favourites 😜✨️

I focus on the lymph system a lot during my reflexology treatments. And find so many people need some help to free up their lymph flow.

The lymphatic system is one of the body's most important and often overlooked systems.

It works alongside the circulatory and immune systems, helping to transport lymph fluid throughout the body.

It supports immune function and plays a role in removing waste and excess fluid from tissues.

I have talked about this a lot before and mentioned that unlike the heart, which continuously pumps blood around the body, the lymphatic system relies on movement to keep flowing efficiently.

That is why regular exercise, staying hydrated, deep breathing, good sleep are all great ways to help support healthy lymphatic function 🙌

✨️ Reflexology is a great way to support your lymphatic health and keep your lymph flowing freely and efficiently ✨️

"It's only for people who are already relaxed"

Actually, many people come to have reflexology with me because they cannot switch off.

You do not have to arrive calm. You do not have to know how to relax. You do not have to be good at meditation. You can arrive exactly as you are ✨️🙏✨️

Reflexology is not always about fixing...

Sometimes the most significant shifts occur when a client feels safe enough to pause...

Safe enough to breathe...

Safe enough to notice what their body has been communicating.

Modern healthcare often focuses on
what is wrong. Reflexology offers a different perspective.

Reflexology is more about supporting the body's own capacity for self-regulation and healing ✨️🙏✨️

This is why strong stable feet are so important 👣

When your feet are weak it can cause alignment issues (triggering problems further up the chain in your pelvis, glutes, knees and lower leg).

A deep disconnect between your upper and lower body can develop and it becomes very hard to stabilise your foundation (feet).

The chain effect from your diaphragm/chest all the way down to your feet plays a huge role in stability, control, power, alignment helping to build a strong foundation enabling you to move around freely with ease and comfort.

So, in short...strong feet ~ stable pelvis, active core ~ efficient breath = efficient movement 🙌

Work on your foundation...keep your feet healthy and strong 💪
