I want to highlight some of the key treatments I do in my salon and relay my years of experience and knowledge about skin care and anti-ageing treatments. Starting with MICRODERMABRASION. I introduced this treatment when I started my own business way back in 2004, back then it was a little known treatment, but now it has become increasingly popular with Therapists and Clients who are keen on effective skin care and anti-ageing treatments that give brilliant results. So what is Microdermabrasion? It is a deep exfoliating treatment that uses a fine stream of crystals which are propelled onto the skins surface to remove the keratin layer, revealing the fresh new skin cells underneath. The dead skin cells and crystals are gently vacuumed away using suction, this in turn increases blood flow providing oxygen to the skin cells and eliminating the build up of excess fluid and toxins.
So who would benefit from this treatment? Anyone who desires clearer, fresher, younger looking skin. This treatment improves and speeds up the production of new skin cells, collagen and elastin, the removal of the dead skin cells enables moisturisers to pe*****te the skin more effectively so the skins natural function improves and hydrates more efficiently resulting in fabulous healthy looking skin.
Microdermabrasion is also used to treat specific skin problems such as acne, rosacea, age spots, minor scars, fine lines and wrinkles. A course of treatments is recommended to treat specific problems, but as part of a good skin care regime once a month or every six weeks would be enough to reveal the beautiful skin you deserve :).
