RuralCare

RuralCare Rural Care aims to provide high quality, individually tailored, client centred care to individuals i We started Rural Care in 2016.

The main reason for establishing the agency is to provide personal care and support to service users in towns and predominantly rural areas and outlying villages. We have recognised that there is a shortfall in the social care sector for these people. Rural Care will offer experienced staff, who have had relevant training in all aspects of care needs and will assist the service user to stay at hom

e where possible and to remain independent. Care needs will be tailor-made to each individual’s personal requirements and will be reviewed on a regular basis. Service user choice, dignity and respect will be at the forefront of our assessments when planning and implementing care. WHO WE ARE:
Lesley Yeo and Kerry Johns are the managers of Rural Care. Both managers live in rural villages, which are central to the area we are aiming to cover. Kerry and Lesley are aware of the large agricultural community around them and that there are some very remote villages and hamlets. They are very keen to service the care needs of the people in those areas. As managers they both have valuable knowledge, skills and expertise in providing social care and working with individuals in their own homes. Kerry and Lesley both possess many years’ experience of working in the healthcare sector within the NHS, this being mainly community based working in local district nursing teams. They have qualifications that support their knowledge, skills and experience in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and risk assessing care needs of service users in their own homes. Kerry has been a registered general nurse in district nursing for 14 years. She progressed to obtain her Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Health Studies. Kerry has worked with many patients in their own homes over the years providing clinical care and assessment to people with varying needs, disabilities, long and short term health problems. Lesley has also worked in district nursing teams for the 14 years. Prior to this Lesley worked for Marie Curie for 6 years providing palliative care support in peoples’ own homes. Lesley has achieved a Higher National Certificate in Health and Social Care, Certificate of Higher Education in Healthcare Practice and a foundation Degree in Healthcare Practice. OUR CATCHMENT AREA:
