Know where to turn this public holiday weekend

The Out of Hours service is for urgent medical issues when your GP practice is closed.

It is not for routine appointments, repeat prescriptions, test results, fit notes or ongoing issues that can wait until your GP practice reopens.

If you need urgent help and it cannot wait, call NHS 24 on 111. They will assess your symptoms and direct you to the most appropriate care.

For life-threatening emergencies, always call 999.

25/04/2026

GP practices will be closed on Monday 4 May for the public holiday.
Your local pharmacy may also be operating different opening hours than normal, so please plan ahead.
If you need a repeat prescription, make sure you order and collect it in plenty of time so you have enough medication to last over the holiday period.
Thank you for helping us make sure care is available for those who need it most.

The practice would like to thank all our patients for their support during the recent transition to our new clinical system. This has been a significant change for the practice, given that over a million pieces of patient data has had to be transferred, as well as the volume of training required for the team. To allow clinicians and advisors the time to use the system in a live environment, as well as for any initial technical issues, appointments have been reduced for this week. That means that routine GP and ANP appointments are currently curtailed, and we are prioritising those of an urgent nature at the moment. We have also been advised that an issue has been discovered with our patients ability to re-register for online patient services. This is being addressed by the IT teams and once rectified an update will be sent out as soon as possible. We would like to apologise to our patients for any inconvenience this has caused. Prescription requests can be made as normal via the website. An update will be provided on Friday 13th March as to appointment availability for week commencing the 16th March. Thank you.
