Gales of laughter filled the hall as Jenga sets fell to the floor. After a cuppa & cake we sang, stamped our feet and some of us danced.
We sent Jean (96yrs young) away with a resounding rendition of Happy Birthday 🎈

Today we celebrated David Attenborough’s 100 birthday (and one of our Friday friends birthday, also named David) by bringing some of the Natural World into the Gillespie Centre. What a marvellous and educational afternoon!

The Gillespie Centre Kitchen & Cafe will be closed for whole of May to repair flooring under kitchen. 😟

But Friendship and Fun will still meet upstairs as usual every Friday 2-4pm. 🥳

This Friday 8th May we will be celebrating David Attenburgh’s 100th birthday with some visiting Zoo critters!!! 🐇🦎 🐍 🐹. Don’t miss it!!

1950 quiz today and the chat and recall was tremendous. Anna provided a fab selection of 1950’s songs for us to sing after our cuppa & cake.

Celebrating the wonderful weather with May Pole inspired seated dance with Alex. (Remember there is also a class at the Gillespie Centre 11am Tuesdays which we provide fee of charge.)
We were all in fine voice with Anna our music therapist and sang a rousing Happy Birthday to Kay, one of our volunteers 🎂
