Headache trigger 3 of 8: Stress

Stress is always a big factor with headaches. The physical tension that comes with stress can often be the initial cause of a headache. However, regular headaches and migraines are stressful in themselves, meaning stress can quickly become a contributing factor even if it wasn't the original trigger.

Tackling stress isn't always an easy thing to do, but even small reductions can have a positive impact on headache frequency and intensity.

Headaches 2 of 8: Tension and muscular/skeletal issues and how to tackle it..

Healthy blood flow through the head, neck and shoulders is crucial if you want to avoid headaches. This means you have to avoid tension in the head neck and shoulder but also the back and arms. Nothing in the body works in isolation and tension in any of these areas can restrict blood flow to the head, resulting in a headache. The problem with headaches is they create and increase tension in these areas too. If it wasn't the initial cause it's likely to be part of the story now.

Massage is one of themost effective ways to address this problem and improve tension fast. ClearMind massage is tailored and targeted to address the specific problem areas for headaches. We also pinpoint where the

In some cases, additional support from an osteopath or chiropractor may be required to help realign everything or a physio to help strengthen certain muscles and keep everything in place.

Headache trigger 1 of 8: Inflammation

Inflammation is often a major factor behind headaches and migraines. In many cases, it's either the main cause or a significant contributor. For example, much of the discomfort from a hangover headache is actually caused by inflammation.

The single biggest thing that's usually making inflammation worse is too much sugar in our diets. Reducing your sugar intake can make a noticeable difference to both your overall health and the frequency or severity of headaches.

Are you getting sugar cravings? Making it harder to make changes? There's a way to tackle that too - balance the blood sugar and bring the cravings down.

Find out how here: https://discoverwellbeing.info/reduce-sugar-cravings/

In the meantime, try increasing your intake of turmeric โ€“ one of nature's most effective anti-inflammatory foods.

Headaches trigger 1 of 8: Inflammation - and what you can do to help.

Headaches and migraines are closely linked to blood flow in the head and anything that disrupts it. Inflammation in the head, neck, or shoulders can interfere with this process. Inflamed tissues may partially restrict or slow blood flow, which can contribute to headaches and migraines.

For many people, inflammation is at least part of the problem when regular headaches are involved. Stress, tension, diet, medications, and many other factors can all increase inflammation - and if youโ€™re dealing with frequent headaches, these areas are often being affected too. Even if inflammation wasnโ€™t the original trigger, itโ€™s very likely part of the picture now.

It's headaches and migraines awareness month - follow along for a clear and helpful guide on how to manage and reduce these issues.

I know first-hand how debilitating headaches and migraines can be, which is why I developed the Clear Mind Massage - a treatment specifically designed to target headaches and migraines. After a long journey of managing them myself and learning a range of specialist massage techniques, Iโ€™d love to share them with you.

Headaches and migraines are usually caused by one or more of the following:
- Inflammation
- Muscular-skeletal issues
- Stress
- Hormones
- Liver not working at optimum level
- Dehydration
- Magnesium deficiency
- Brain injury/issue and scar tissue
- Eye issues including BVD

One of the biggest issues I see is people searching for a โ€œholy grailโ€ or โ€œmagic pillโ€. believing thereโ€™s one single cause and one simple fix. In my experience, this is never the reality. Regular headaches and migraines are almost always triggered by multiple issues working together. Understanding that, and having a plan that tackles everything contributing to it, is key - and that's exactly what we do with Clear Mind massage.

Could scar massage be what your missing to help tension, stiffness or pain in your body?

Many people have issues such as back pain, shoulder and neck tension and digestive issues that they don't realise can be related to scar elsewhere in the body. Even decades old scars can be worked on with great results.

Scars can can continue to cause problems long after the wound has healed. Tightness, pulling, numbness, sensitivity, restricted movement and chronic discomfort are all common but they don't have to be forever.

Scar massage is a gentle, targeted therapy that works directly with the scar and surrounding tissue to release adhesions, restore sensation, improve mobility and reduce discomfort.

The fertility journey can be so overwhelming and tailored, physical help can be the best next step to move things forward in a targeted, practical way.

Fertility massage focuses on improving circulation to the womb and ovaries, supporting hormone balance, improving egg and womb lining quality, and helping the body address the underlying conditions that so often get in the way of conception.

After years of doing this work, I'm proud to say we are now up to 42 babies.

Treatment available in Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire.
