One of our most popular piercings, particularly with teens, but did you know they're a tricky healer?

Three main reasons are:
•➤ Torso movement.
•➤ Moisture trapping behind the base of the jewellery in the navel cavity.
•➤ Clothing rubbing & catching.

They can also potentially have a higher rejection rate than other piercings, especially if your body is still developing, so be patient & listen to us if we think your body needs a bit more time! Having said that, if your piercing does reject, don't be disheartened, it's often possible to get it pierced again at a later date.

Another thing you may not know about belly piercings is how long the hole stays open. We get many ladies who have taken them out during pregnancy & can't get the jewellery back in so think it's closed up. However, it can be that the hole has just shrunk, but we can often taper/stretch it back open & guide you on suitable jewellery to suit your anatomy.

This piercing is very anatomy dependent & that's why we stock so many variations.

𓋪 Piercing with rings AGAIN?! Were you paying attention last time (10th June)?

𓋪 Listen up! We LOVE piercings with rings, but many clients want thin, snug fitting rings, which is a no-no initially for a fresh piercing. However, if you're happy to go with a larger gauge (thicker) ring at a bigger diameter that's not sitting tight, then yes, we're here for it!

✔️ Thicker, bigger ring = stable & allows for swelling. More structural stability & distribution of weight. Much better for healing.

❌ Thin, snug/tight ring = doesn't allow for swelling & can slowly slice or tear through the healing tissue, known as the cheese-wire effect.

* For those of you wanting thin little rings, be patient & wait, you CAN eventually have one, but wait about 4-6 months & let us change it for you.*
