One of the most interesting findings from a large long-term study:

People who did around 1–2.5 hours of strength training per week tended to have lower rates of premature death, cardiovascular disease, and cancer than those who did none.

The lowest risk was seen in people who combined strength training with regular aerobic exercise.

You don't need to spend hours in the gym. A couple of strength sessions each week, alongside regular walking, cycling, running, swimming, or other aerobic activity, may go a long way for long-term health.

Small, consistent habits matter more than perfection.

Off to the Running Repairs 2-day course this weekend and genuinely really looking forward to it.

Two full days of happily being a bit of a geek, learning from the brilliant Tom Goom and diving into the stuff that really matters when it comes to helping runners stay healthy and keep doing what they love.

I’ll be attending the Running Repairs course in Cambridge soon with the brilliant Tom Goom RunningPhysio β€” a course I’ve done before and know is excellent.

Always great to refresh skills and stay current to better support runners with injury rehab, ni**les, and return to running.
